Head of Impact Partnerships – North America
This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft — making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
We also believe that businesses have a bigger role to play — not just in the economy, but in society. As part of our social impact strategy, we leverage our platform and partnerships to tackle structural challenges and drive scalable, positive change. Our flagship Impact technology product, Giving, enables businesses to seamlessly integrate donations into their payment flows — helping them activate their customers, fundraise at scale, and contribute to progress toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
But this is just the beginning. We are building an ecosystem where Giving acts as a catalyst for deeper partnerships and programs — using our technology, our network, and our 1% Fund to help accelerate the impact ambitions of our customers. We also engage C-level communities and thought leadership platforms to inspire and activate further progress. The Head of Impact Partnerships will be a key driver of this next phase.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced leader to drive the next phase of growth for Adyen Giving and our broader Impact Partnerships Program in North America. This is a highly strategic role at the intersection of product, commercial growth, social impact, and executive engagement — shaping how Giving delivers value for our customers, our business, and society.
You will be responsible for defining and executing the North America strategy for Giving, building deep relationships with enterprise customers and ecosystem partners, and ensuring Giving is embedded as a driver of Adyen’s commercial success and long-term impact strategy in the region. Beyond Giving, you will also support efforts to accelerate the causes and programs our customers care about — activating our 1% Fund and deepening collaboration with our Strategic Impact Partners. The role also includes engaging C-level communities and thought leadership platforms to inspire, activate, and scale shared-value opportunities across our ecosystem.
The ideal candidate brings senior experience in strategic partnerships and customer leadership roles, fintech fluency, and a strong network in the U.S. corporate impact and philanthropy space. You will operate as a builder, trusted advisor, and commercial leader — driving both Giving adoption and the broader role of Adyen as a catalyst for scalable social change.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive the U.S. Giving and Impact Partnerships strategy: Develop and execute the strategy for scaling Giving and expanding our strategic impact partnerships across North America, aligned with Adyen’s commercial priorities and global impact vision.
- Lead customer growth and adoption for Giving: By building and expanding enterprise relationships, positioning Giving and related initiatives as core components of the Adyen value proposition, and contributing to Adyen’s Sustainable Impact Strategy target of processing €100M in donations through Giving.
- Build executive-level trust and thought leadership: Engage with C-level leaders at customers and internally at Adyen to align on strategy, priorities, and shared value opportunities. Lead the narrative at senior levels and contribute to external positioning (events, panels, thought leadership platforms).
- Activate the 1% Fund to support customer impact programs: Identify and execute opportunities to use our 1% Fund to accelerate causes and programs supported by our customers and through partnerships with our Strategic Impact Partners.
- Shape external positioning and ecosystem engagement: Represent Adyen in the U.S. impact ecosystem — building partnerships with major nonprofits, corporate philanthropy leaders, and fintech for good networks. Be a visible public voice for Giving and Adyen’s broader impact approach.
- Support customer-NGO activation and engagement: Facilitate impactful experiences and partnerships between customers and our Strategic Impact Partners (e.g. through field missions, events like the Evening of Impact, and co-created campaigns).
- Lead internal alignment: Partner with Commercial, Product, Marketing, Comms, and Global Impact teams to ensure Giving and Impact Partnerships are fully integrated into Adyen’s U.S. business and growth roadmap.
- Drive strategic evolution: Continuously refine our U.S. Giving and Impact Partnerships approach based on market feedback, customer priorities, product developments, and ecosystem trends. Bring a builder mindset and long-term vision.
