Supply Chain Data Engineer & Integration Specialist, Amsterdam

Adyen is looking for a Supply Chain Data Engineer & Integration Specialist to join our team in Amsterdam. This high-impact role is positioned at the center of our operational systems landscape. You will own the technical architecture and data pipelines connecting our new Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform, Pigment, with our broader enterprise layers (Workday, Salesforce, Big Data Platform, Looker) and our global third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse networks.

This is an exceptional opportunity to build sustainable, long-term technical capability within our Supply Chain function. You will lead the technical integrations for upcoming warehouse expansions in key growth markets, directly enabling business expansion.

What you’ll do

  • Build & Maintain Data Pipelines: Architect, implement, and monitor robust, production-grade data pipelines that feed our planning platforms, ensuring that clean operational data reliably reaches Pigment in the exact shape required.
  • Industrialize POC Integrations: Take our initial automated prototype connections and harden them into scalable, secure, and production-ready enterprise integrations.
  • Integrate Key Enterprise Systems: Establish and maintain seamless system-to-system connections linking Pigment with Workday (Finance & Procurement), Salesforce (CRM), Big Data Platform, and reporting interfaces (Looker).
  • Connect Logistics Networks (3PLs): Build and maintain direct integrations with external warehouse management systems and global logistics partners (e.g., DHL APIs) to support real-time inventory tracking and automated stock reconciliation.
  • Drive Data Quality & MDM: Work closely with the Central Data Platform team to enforce Master Data Management (MDM) at the source systems before data flows into down-stream planning modules.
  • Support Global Expansion: Serve as the technical integration lead for our global warehouse expansions, ensuring robust local warehouse configurations from day one.

Who you are

  • You have 4+ years of experience in data engineering, backend integration development, or a systems integration role.
  • You are highly motivated, proactive, and a natural problem solver with an eagerness to master supply chain, financial, and warehouse logistics systems.
  • You are highly proficient in database structures, SQL, and programming languages commonly used in data pipelines (e.g., Python, Apache Airflow, PySpark).
  • You have deep experience building API integrations (REST, SOAP), handling data transformation formats (JSON, XML, CSV), and managing enterprise connectors.
  • You bring an architectural mindset. You naturally engineer for pipeline resilience, including automated alerting, transaction retries, error-logging, and comprehensive unit/UAT testing.
  • You have a Data Governance and Architectural Mindset.
  • You are a self-starter who actively seeks out inefficiencies, takes technical ownership of solutions, and delivers results without requiring constant hand-holding.
  • You can explain complex data architectures and pipeline failures clearly to operational planners and business stakeholders.
  • You are familiar with numerous AI models and embed AI usage in your daily work.
