Junior Product Consultant (Implementation & Delivery) - Credit Risk - Brussels

Brussels | Hybrid

Learn fast by working on real implementations

At Craft it, we help financial institutions solve complex problems at the intersection of credit risk, regulation, data, and technology.

As a focused team, we work with large international financial institutions across Europe, the US, and beyond.

This means you will be exposed early to real client implementations — analysing, testing, and configuring solutions used in complex financial environments.

Our work is hands-on and closely tied to delivery. We operate in environments where clarity, structure, and reliability are critical.

We are looking for a Junior Product Consultant with strong analytical skills, the ability to structure and break down problems, and a willingness to learn quickly in a structured and guided environment.

What you will do

You will contribute to project work while being closely supported by more experienced consultants. Your role is to learn fast, execute reliably, and take on more responsibility over time.

You will be involved in:

  • structuring and analysing client requirements
  • preparing and supporting client workshops
  • contributing to solution configuration and implementation
  • actively configuring and working within the platforms we implement (our own or our partners’ solutions), with guidance and validation from more experienced team members
  • preparing and executing test cases (UAT, validation, data checks)
  • analysing data and validating outputs
  • documenting deliverables, decisions, and follow-ups
  • supporting project coordination and delivery quality

You will also build working knowledge in:

  • banking and financial services
  • credit risk and regulatory frameworks (Basel, IFRS 9)
  • data structures, system logic, and implementation flows

What we are looking for

You are a strong fit if you:

  • typically hold a Master’s degree or demonstrate a comparable level of analytical thinking
  • have 0–3 years of experience (internships included)
  • are comfortable with structured problem-solving
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • are reliable and take ownership of your work
  • are fluent in English (French is a strong asset)

This role sits between business and implementation. You should be comfortable — or willing to quickly become comfortable — with:

  • Excel (formulas, structured data handling)
  • basic SQL (or strong willingness to learn)
  • working with structured data formats (e.g. JSON, XML)
  • basic understanding or curiosity for coding (C#, Python or similar)

You should enjoy hands-on work with systems, data, and platform configuration — this is a core part of the role.

Your first months

Here is what your first months will look like:

  • month 1: onboarding to our tools, methods, and project context; shadowing project activities
  • months 2–3: contributing to analysis, testing, and initial configuration tasks
  • after 3–6 months: taking ownership of defined tasks and contributing more directly to implementation and client interactions

You will be supported by a dedicated mentor and regular feedback.

What you will get

  • a structured learning environment with high expectations and regular feedback
  • fast exposure to real client projects and implementation work
  • progressive increase in responsibility based on your development
  • hands-on experience with data, systems, and real implementation work
  • the opportunity to build skills that compound quickly early in your career

Why join Craft it

  • a focused team of ~20–25 people, including ~11 consultants (growing to ~15)
  • work on complex topics with large international clients
  • real proximity to clients and project outcomes
  • a structured environment with high expectations
  • a company committed to responsible business practices (B-Corp certification)

Practical details

  • hybrid model: 3 days/week in the office (standard expectation)
  • Brussels-based, with international client exposure

A flexible compensation package including:

  • a mobility budget tailored to your needs
  • monthly homeworking allowance
  • monthly internet allowance
  • meal vouchers (Monizze)
  • Eco vouchers (Monizze)
  • comprehensive hospital insurance (DKV)
  • group pension insurance

Recruitment process

  • initial screening call
  • two interview rounds
  • a short analytical or technical exercise may be included during the second interview round
