🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.
With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 14 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
🔎 What's in it for you
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Designer to help shape the future of in-store payments across Europe. If you’re passionate about crafting intuitive, branded mobile experiences and want to work on a product already live in multiple markets, this is your chance to make a real impact.
🐝 About the team
You’ll be part of a Design team composed of 11 experts, integrated within a Pan-European Product and Engineering team operating in an Agile environment. You’ll collaborate closely, and fully remotely, with professionals in Product Design, Web Development, Mobile Development, Backend Development, QA, and DevOps, based in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and other European locations.
💥 Your impact
- Design and deliver high-fidelity UI flows for in-store payments that are fast, reliable, and distinctly Wero
- Own the in-store payment experience, working closely with UX, Product, and Engineering teams
- Present and defend design decisions to senior stakeholders, including member banks and merchant partners
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, creating new components as needed
- Ensure accessibility and localization are embedded in every screen
- Support user research to deepen understanding and inform design decisions
- Work in a highly collaborative, agile environment — rapidly iterating based on feedback and testing
🕵🏻♀️ To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering user-centered design in complex environments
- Strong UI design skills and solid grasp of UX principles
- Experience in payments or financial services is a plus; in-store payment experience is even better
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
- Clear communication of design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams and commitment to inclusive, accessible design
- Fluent in English (CEFR C1 or C2); French, German, Dutch, or other European languages are a plus
🪜 If this looks like you, the recruitment steps are:
- A first call with one of our recruiters
- A technical interview with our Product Designers
- A final interview with our Head of Product Design and a Product Manager
- Hopefully, an offer you can’t refuse
⛔ Turn back if …
- You don't have advanced experience on UI design
- You don’t have experience within payment
Otherwise apply!
