🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays

In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.

With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.

🔎 What's in it for you

Come and help shape the next generation of Wero’s wallet experience across Europe.
In this role, you will turn complex product ideas and market demands into clear, technically feasible plans. Working at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Strategy, you will structure discovery for high-impact initiatives, assess technical feasibility, and support leadership in making well-informed product decisions.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and member banks to transform ambiguity into actionable solutions and help drive the evolution of our wallet product.

At EPI, we embrace a remote-first culture, enabling our teams to work remotely from the country they are based in, with in-person meetings at least once a quarter to foster collaboration and connection.

💥 Your impact

Drive and shape strategic product initiatives

  • Lead discovery for high-impact wallet initiatives, turning ambiguous ideas into clear problem statements, user journeys and success criteria

  • Structure options, trade-offs and recommendations to drive alignment and decision-making

  • Translate complex inputs into clear product direction and actionable plans

Define solutions and ensure feasibility

  • Work closely with Engineering and Design to define feasible, scalable solutions

  • Map dependencies across platform, scheme, banks and rollout constraints

  • Identify risks early and drive pragmatic mitigation strategies

Drive alignment across ecosystem and leadership

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and member banks to shape product evolution

  • Build clear business cases and decision-ready narratives for leadership

  • Turn partner and market inputs into structured product insights and priorities

🕵🏻‍♀️ To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements

  • 8+ years of experience contributing to or driving product strategy, from problem framing to solution definition and prioritization

  • Strong technical fluency (APIs, systems, integrations) without being hands-on coding

  • Strong stakeholder management: Align effectively across product, engineering, design, leadership, and external partners, and build buy-in across competing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving and structuring skills (trade-offs, risks, dependencies)

  • Excellent written communication (clear, structured, decision-ready outputs)

  • High ownership mindset and ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

  • Experience in payments, wallets, fintech, or regulated environments (nice-to-have): Bring relevant domain context that shortens ramp-up time.

  • Fluent in English (CEFR C1 or C2) is mandatory; French, German, Dutch, or any additional European languages is a plus

  • Thrive in a fully remote, multicultural environment

🪜 If this looks like you, the recruitment steps are:

  1. A first call with one of our recruiters

  2. A case study and Tech-Product discussion with the team

  3. Interview with the Hiring manager

  4. Interview with the CTPO

  5. Hopefully, an offer you can’t refuse
