Lean Agile Coach- Product and Engineering – Remote-First
We usually respond within three days
🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.
With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
🔎 What’s in it for you
Real systemic impact at scale. You’ll shape how ~14 cross‑functional teams (~120 people) collaborate, deliver, and continuously improve.
Agility with purpose. No “cargo‑cult Agile” here: you’ll work on flow, outcomes, and value streams in a highly regulated, real‑world payment environment.
Remote-first, done right. You’ll help model and strengthen inclusive, effective remote collaboration while working in a distributed, multicultural organization.
At EPI, we embrace a remote-first culture, enabling our teams to work remotely from the country they are based in, with in‑person meetings at least once a quarter to foster collaboration and connection.
🐝 About the team
You’ll join the Product and Engineering team and work closely with:
Product Managers, Engineers, and Engineering Managers
Senior leaders and key stakeholders across Product, Tech, Operations, Risk, and Compliance
Other transformation and delivery leaders across EPI
Your mission: enable sustainable agility, flow, and continuous improvement across teams and value streams, in a remote-first environment.
💥 Your impact
In this role, you will:
Enable Agile adoption & systemic transformation:
Act as the Agile Coach for ~14 teams, ensuring consistent, pragmatic adoption of Agile principles, clear ways of working, and adherence to agreed product lifecycle procedures — while balancing team autonomy with end‑to‑end value.
Create flow across the organization:
Design and evolve flight levels architecture to connect strategy, portfolio priorities, and team execution; facilitate delivery planning, dependency management, and cross‑team coordination in a fully remote setup.
Build a strong continuous improvement & collaboration culture:
Break down silos, foster transparency, and help teams establish effective feedback loops, working agreements, and communication norms tailored to remote collaboration.
Coach people, not just processes:
Provide team and 1:1 coaching to product managers, engineers, and leaders, building psychological safety, accountability, and healthy team dynamics across a distributed, multicultural workforce.
💻 Technology stack
You’ll be comfortable with (or willing to deepen your expertise in):
Collaboration & facilitation: Miro / Mural, Microsoft Teams, Confluence
Agile & flow practices: Flight Levels, Scrum, Kanban, XP, Agile scaling frameworks
Engineering & delivery context: CI/CD, DevOps, quality engineering, product analytics
Flow & performance metrics: lead time, WIP, throughput, aging, outcome‑based KPIs
Systems thinking & Lean approaches to organizational improvement
🕵🏻♀️ To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
Proven experience coaching multiple teams simultaneously across different product or technology domains
Strong consulting mindset, able to diagnose systemic impediments and design pragmatic, context‑sensitive interventions
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with perfect spoken and written English
Experience working in payments or financial services, or other regulated environments
Professional trainer or consulting background
You share our values and actively contribute to a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement
You thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environment and are comfortable leading change without formal authority
