What is the role of an Analytics Engineer at Fipto?

The Analytics Engineer translates product evolutions and business needs into robust data models, and builds the data warehouse layers that power Fipto’s strategic metrics and KPIs.

You will join a modern and already established data stack: AWS (DMS, Glue, Athena, Step Functions), dbt, and solid technical documentation. There is no need to build everything from scratch — the foundations are already in place. Beyond pure analytics, you will also contribute to product and platform data modeling.

Some of your future missions:

• Evolve dbt models for business and regulatory reporting

• Create new data products for business teams

• Ensure data quality through testing and monitoring

• Diagnose and resolve pipeline issues

• Support teams with their data needs (ad-hoc and recurring)

• Document data models and business logic

• Automate still-manual processes

• Propose improvements to the data architecture

Your Future Team:

You will report to David S., your future manager and CTO.

You will also work closely with:

• Stéphane, Head of Engineering

• David Galichet, Cloud Architect

• The tech and business teams

About You:

• You have at least 2 years of experience in data / analytics engineering

• Strong SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, optimization — you can write complex queries effortlessly)

• Significant dbt experience (models, tests, documentation, macros)

• Good understanding of ETL processes

• Solid knowledge of data modeling and data quality principles (dimensional, normalized, etc.)

• Comfortable with Git workflows

• Familiar with cloud data warehouses

• Experience with BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, QuickSight, etc.)

• Knowledge of one or more of the following is a plus: AWS (Athena, Glue, Step Functions, DMS), Python

• Autonomous and proactive — you don’t wait to be told what to do

• Rigorous and methodical

• A strong problem solver

• Able to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders

• Fluent in French with professional English proficiency

• Interest in AI / agentic coding and the fintech, crypto or blockchain ecosystem is appreciated

Recruitment Process:

1. Screening call with Sandra, Head of People & Culture (45 min, video)

2. Take-home case study (2 hours)

3. Technical debrief + culture fit with Benjamin, Data Architect, and Stéphane, Head of Engineering (1 hour, video or onsite)

4. Interview with David, CTO (45 min, video)

5. Final interview with Patrick, Co-founder (30 min, video or onsite)
