Role Overview
To support our Finance team during a period of reduced availability, Giftify is looking for a Senior Accountant for a 3–4 month assignment (June–September). This short-term role will ensure business continuity during the summer and provide backup to the CFO while the chief accountant is on leave.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with quarterly closing (cut-offs, reconciliations, salary entries, reporting)
• Overseeing expense tracking and supplier invoice workflows
• Supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR review and bookkeeping oversight
• Coordinating with our external accounting partner on VAT and documentation-related matters
• Helping maintain structure and reliability in finance processes during the summer period

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced or scale-up environment
• Is autonomous, hands-on, and dependable with strong GL accounting skills
• Speaks French and English fluently
• Is available from early June to end of September on a freelance or short-term contract
• Is proficient in Excel; experience with Horus accounting software and/or the payment or SaaS industry is a strong plus
