Product Development Manager - Transaction Observability

Vyntra's Transaction Observability platform helps banks and financial institutions understand what is happening inside their transaction systems in real time. Our software processes large volumes of financial messages and events, giving operations teams the visibility they need to monitor, troubleshoot and optimise complex transaction environments. Used by more than 130 financial institutions across 60+ countries.

We build technology that helps financial institutions prevent fraud, meet compliance obligations and gain visibility of their transaction data. Around 165 people globally - combining deep financial services expertise with engineering built for demanding production environments, with teams in Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, Poland, Singapore and Nairobi.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Development Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for our Transaction Observability platform. Reporting to the CTO, you sit at the intersection of engineering, product management and delivery.

You've come up through software engineering and grown into technical leadership - and you're still comfortable in architecture and design discussions. You don't write production code every day, but you speak the language and your team knows it.

The team is nine experienced engineers and technical leads who care about their craft - largely self-organising, working on a platform with real depth and complexity. What they need from you is technical credibility, clarity on direction, and someone who handles the broader context so they can focus on building.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and technical leads - 1:1s, performance, coaching, recruitment
• Drive backlog prioritisation, release planning and development workflows
• Connect engineering work to product direction - work closely with Product Management to translate roadmap into deliverable work
• Collaborate with Customer Delivery to ensure what's built reaches customers and works in the field
• Contribute to architecture discussions and major design decisions
• Evolve development practices and engineering processes alongside the CTO and team leads
• Champion the use of modern AI coding tools - Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and others - and bring genuine enthusiasm for how they're changing the way teams build and ship

What We're Looking For

You started as a software engineer and grew into leadership over time - likely 15+ years in software development overall. You've led teams building commercial products that evolve continuously; you know that environment well and you're comfortable in it.

Beyond that:

• Technically credible - architects and engineers trust your judgement on architecture and design
• Solid grounding in the Java ecosystem and enterprise software environments
• Experience with on-premises software in banking or financial services is a strong plus
• You actively use AI coding tools and bring genuine enthusiasm for how they're changing the way teams build software
• Pragmatic, collaborative and a clear communicator
• Fluent English; Dutch is a bonus
