Mechelen (Hybrid)
Every day, billions of financial transactions move through the banking system — and within that flow are fraud signals, compliance risks, and operational blind spots.
At Vyntra, we help banks make sense of that data in real time.
Our platform is used by over 130 financial institutions across 60+ countries to detect fraud, prevent financial crime, and understand what’s happening across their systems as it happens. That means building technology that is not only powerful — but reliable, scalable, and ready to perform in environments where failure isn’t an option.
The role
We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Transaction Observability team in Mechelen.
This is a software engineering role focused on CI/CD, delivery, and product packaging.
You’ll be responsible for the systems that take our product from code to customer. That includes designing and evolving CI/CD pipelines, building internal tooling, and owning the Kubernetes-based packaging (Helm charts, operators) that is delivered as part of the product itself.
You won’t be working in isolation. A central Platform Engineering team provides the shared infrastructure (Kubernetes, cloud, networking). Your focus is what sits on top — ensuring that builds are reproducible, deployments are predictable, and releases are consistent across environments.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a large-scale Java product
- Develop automation and tooling to improve build, test and release workflows
- Own and evolve our Kubernetes packaging (Helm charts and operators) used by customers
- Troubleshoot build and test issues at source, and implement long-term fixes
- Contribute to product code where needed to improve reliability and testability
- Support the creation of realistic development and performance testing environments
- Work closely with engineering and QA teams to improve delivery practices
Tech stack: Java, Gradle, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, AWS
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in software engineering, with experience beyond pure operations
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and modern build systems
- Comfortable working across multiple tools and languages (Java plus others such as Python, Go or Bash)
- Good understanding of what makes builds reliable and deployments repeatable
- Clear communicator, able to work across teams and improve shared practices
- A sense of ownership — you take responsibility for what you build and run
Nice to have
- Experience building Kubernetes operators
- Familiarity with GitOps approaches (e.g. ArgoCD)
- Experience supporting performance or load testing environments
Why join Vyntra
This is a role where your work has immediate and visible impact. The systems you build directly influence how our product is delivered and runs in production — at scale, in real financial institutions.
You’ll be part of a team that values strong engineering fundamentals, pragmatic decision-making, and ownership. It’s an environment where you can shape how things are done, not just follow existing patterns.
We offer:

- Meal vouchers (€6.91/day) and €250 annual eco-cheques

- Health insurance allowance and group insurance

This is a permanent role.
