About the Role
Vyntra's Professional Services team works with financial institutions to implement and configure our solutions around their specific operational and regulatory requirements. As a Senior Functional Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between our customers and engineering teams. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business processes, gather and challenge requirements, and translate those into clear functional specifications that can be delivered by our software engineers.
You'll stay involved throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that what is developed meets the customer's use case and supporting testing and validation before solutions go live.
This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with customers, Project Managers, Software Engineers and Customer Success teams across a range of banking and financial services projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading requirements gathering and discovery workshops with customers
- Analysing business processes, use cases and operational workflows
- Producing clear functional specifications and requirements documentation
- Translating business requirements into deliverable solutions for engineering teams
- Challenging assumptions and identifying gaps, risks or inconsistencies in requirements
- Supporting solution design discussions throughout implementation projects
- Working closely with engineers during development and implementation phases
- Validating delivered functionality against agreed business requirements and use cases
- Supporting functional testing and user acceptance testing activities
- Managing documentation and project artefacts within Jira and Confluence
- Supporting customers throughout implementation and deployment activities
About You
You're naturally analytical and enjoy understanding how organisations operate, what problems they're trying to solve, and how technology can support those objectives.
You'll be comfortable engaging directly with customers, asking probing questions, and turning complex conversations into clear, structured requirements. Just as importantly, you'll have the confidence to challenge requests when needed and help customers define what they actually need rather than simply documenting what they've asked for.
We're particularly interested in people who understand the banking, payments or wider financial services landscape and are familiar with the governance, controls and operational processes that exist within financial institutions.
You'll bring:
- Experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or similar customer-facing delivery role
- Experience gathering, documenting and managing business and functional requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working alongside software development teams
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Comfort using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work
- Excellent written and spoken English
Experience working with banks, payment providers, fintechs or other regulated financial institutions is strongly preferred.
