Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Product Owner to form part of the Data team, comprising of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Data Governance functions. The selected candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders develop technical solutions in an agile environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage in the strategic process of project prioritization, project management, and seamless delivery communication.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Platform Senior Manager and Data Architect to strategize and prioritize projects for the roadmap.
• Lead sprint planning and adeptly manage the workloads of cross-functional scrum teams.
• Foster a collaborative environment with other Product Owners throughout the organization to ensure the successful implementation of technical solutions.
• Effectively communicate the roadmap and overarching objectives to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
• Provided insightful guidance to stakeholders, aiding them in identifying information requirements tailored to their specific processes and operational needs.
• Advise power users within the bank, offering expert recommendations for optimizing day-to-day functionalities leveraging the data platform.
• Take ownership of ongoing data projects within the above mentioned data functions
• Regularly engage with stakeholders across diverse business units, fostering alignment and meaningful collaboration.
• Support the data engineering team in their daily operations, taking charge of leading SCRUM ceremonies.
• Develop into a recognized subject matter expert on the intricacies of the data platform.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a data-related field.
• Have over 5 years of hands-on experience in the data sector, involving engagement with stakeholders of varying hierarchical levels.
• Proven expertise within the banking industry, exhibiting an in-depth understanding of its unique dynamics.
• Proficient in the methodologies of SCRUM, applying them effectively to enhance project management.
• Adept in utilizing Snowflake and equipped with advanced SQL knowledge.
