About the role:

As part of our expansion, we're seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to lead payroll management for our 200+ employees across 6 European countries. You will orchestrate our payroll processes, drive the implementation of our new Deel system, and ensure impeccable compliance with local regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

Payroll Operations & Data Management

  • Orchestrate the monthly payroll cycle for ~200 employees across 6 countries (France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal)

  • Validate payroll inputs and outputs with our Deel partner

  • Guarantee 100% compliance with local regulations (taxes, social contributions, legal deadlines)

  • Drive the implementation and optimization of Deel Global Payroll

  • Maintain data integrity for all employees across all systems (HR, Finance)

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Be the go-to contact for Finance, Accounting, HR, and Treasury teams

  • Provide payroll data for monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Support internal and external audits; maintain impeccable documentation

  • Coordinate with Treasury to ensure timely payroll funding and statutory payments

Employment & Benefits Administration

  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle: contracts, amendments, transfers, promotions, departures

  • Administer employee benefits (health insurance, allowances, meal vouchers, etc.)

  • Support employees with payroll, employment documentation, and benefits questions

  • Keep employee records and absence/leave tracking up-to-date

Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Anticipate and implement regulatory changes across each jurisdiction

  • Standardize and improve payroll and employment administration processes; document procedures

  • Maintain a culture of control and compliance

Your Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-country payroll management (Europe)

  • Demonstrated expertise in France and Italy payroll regulations

  • Solid knowledge of European labor law and employment administrative obligations

  • Experience with global payroll systems (Deel or similar is an advantage)

  • French, English, and Italian fluent (written and spoken) – mandatory

  • Advanced Excel (reconciliation, data analysis, reporting)

  • Comfortable with large data volumes and multi-system integrations

  • GDPR and data confidentiality: solid knowledge
