As we scale our platform and product offerings, we are seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to help ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our financial and operational payment flows.

Your Mission

As a Finance Operations Analyst, you will play a key role at the intersection of Finance and Operations.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will contribute to the integrity of financial and regulatory data while supporting the monitoring, reconciliation and control of payment flows. You will work closely with Operations, Safeguarding and Product teams to ensure the accuracy, compliance and efficiency of our financial processes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both regulated accounting activities and operational finance topics within a fast-growing fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Accounting

  • Prepare and review daily accounting entries related to payment flows and regulated activities.
  • Execute and monitor daily accounting reconciliations linked to regulated activities.
  • Contribute to the production of regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Support external audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Participate in the monitoring and control of safeguarding accounts and client funds.
  • Support monthly and yearly closings activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Finance Operations

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations between operational and financial data.
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks, transactional discrepancies and data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to identify root causes of discrepancies or payment errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Management of specific payment processes for merchants or invoicing
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of payment-related financial data.
  • Participate in the design and improvement of reconciliation and control processes.
  • Contribute to automation and process optimisation initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving Finance, Operations and Product teams.

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Has 2 to 5 years of experience in Accounting, Reconciliation, Financial Administration, Finance Operations or a similar role.
  • Has experience within a fintech, payment institution, electronic money institution (EMI), banking or other regulated financial environment (strong asset).
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Enjoys working with detailed financial data, recurring reconciliations and control activities, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Is highly analytical, detail-oriented and enjoys investigating discrepancies until the root cause is identified.
  • Is rigorous, structured and organised, with a strong sense of accuracy and accountability.
  • Has advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SQL is considered a plus.
  • Enjoys collaborating across teams and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Is fluent in English and fluent in either French or Dutch.
