Team Summary
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific (AUNZSP) is Visa's advisory division, working with Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy, operational optimisation, customer engagement and overall business profitability.
VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory, Data Science and Managed Services, the latter being the execution arm of VCA. Our Managed Services teams (also known as squads) are embedded on client sites leading long-term engagements and delivering value primarily through implementation and execution services. We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team, sharing knowledge, and bringing the best of Visa to the client.
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Manager for the role of Compliance Plan Lead embedded with one of our valued clients based in Auckland or Wellington. This role is a 24-month Fixed Term Contract.
Role Summary
The Compliance Plan Lead will be responsible for developing, overseeing and managing our client’s compliance plans for all card schemes, and for Payments Industry, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The plans will document our clients’ obligations; where in the organisation and how they are being met, along with identifying obligation or control gaps for remediation to reduce compliance risk.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of Card scheme and Payments Industry Compliance Plans by the due dates
· Enhance and manage plan for Compliance Plan delivery, and track / report on progress, escalating issues impacting delivery promptly
· Manage and collaborate with key stakeholders (Customer facing business units, Operations, Customer Product & Services, Fraud Protection, Risk and Technology) and the Compliance Plan Analyst to achieve the desired outcome
· Support key stakeholders in their understanding of the obligations and identify ways to minimize compliance assessment effort required by key stakeholders
· Facilitate resolution where ownership of obligations is contested
· Where compliance or control gaps are identified, ensure these are recorded by the owners in the enterprise risk system so delivery can be tracked
· Development of a framework to keep the plans updated in a sustainable way and assess the resources required to maintain that will make it easy on an ongoing basis to evidence compliance quickly when needed
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of 3-days in the office and as confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Key Requirements
· Proven banking experience, in a Compliance or Risk role
· Tertiary qualification in business or technology related discipline, or equivalent intellectual capability.
· Understanding of Card Scheme Obligations for at least Visa card scheme
· Demonstratable ability to lead cross functional working groups
· Excellent communication, collaboration & facilitation skills, working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and management
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Desirable:
· Exposure or experience related to Payments Industry obligations
· Knowledge of Bank processes, policies and procedures
