Job Description

As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Global API and Partner Ecosystems group within Visa Commercial Solutions. Our team is focused on building and enhancing Application Programing Interface (API) offerings and integrating with third party financial technology providers to support B2B payment needs. We are part of the broader Global Card Products and Platforms team which is responsible for all cardable solutions for businesses and public sector entities globally, providing payment and value-added services to financial institutions that support these businesses, corporations and governments.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with potential partners and managing our third party integrations with ERPs and Accounting Software to support and grow B2B card payments. This role manages the full end to end process for rolling out new embedded payments integrations, including the analysis of potential ERPs and Accounting software platforms, the design of the customer experience, working with the technology teams to build them, identifying the ideal go to market model for each and then managing the products post-roll out.

This role requires significant collaboration with multiple internal teams. You will manage one (or possibly multiple) scrum teams where you will work very closely with the technology team so ensure the products are built per requirements, on time, on budget and are high quality. This also requires collaboration with many other internal teams. You will work with our internal regional teams to identify the required product feature enhancements, with other product teams your product is dependent on, with the design teams on how to incorporate new features and products into our VCS Hub, and with marketing to help position and advertise our products in the market.

This person will be the subject matter expert and advocate for these integrations at Visa to increase their usage. They will also know the ins and outs of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and how ERPs and Accounting Software play a role in them. They will also produce all necessary material from product launch to maturity such as user guides, sales collateral, internal support guides, etc. This product management position includes contributing to the overall integrations strategy at various stages of their life cycle, from executing on new potential partnerships, managing existing integrations from a product perspective, and driving growth by communicating the value to internal and external stakeholders and clients. This person must be professional and articulate as they will be working with external clients – both issuers and partners – to establish and foster partnerships with fintechs and complete pilot projects with our issuers. The product manager must be able to clearly communicate to partners and client while also being able to champion customers and manage escalations.

These integrations will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as industry experience in business process for purchasing, payments and cash management, the product manager will need to assess each situation and provide optimal guidance to the third parties.

The product manager is also an integral part of other product development projects in flight and includes input into potential partnerships and opportunities. The role will not manage an agile scrum team directly but will work very closely with the technical teams by providing clear requirements, consulting on product decisions and providing guidance on user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Has a deep knowledge of Commercial and B2B payments space globally, key industry players and understand the challenges and needs of business.

  • Understand the various Accounting Software, ERPs, CRMs, and other business-critical applications and how they are applied in business payments scenarios.

  • Understand Visa’s existing applications, integration services, API and product offerings in order to use that knowledge in an overall understand of the integration needs.

  • Bring innovation to Visa Commercial Solutions team in how we can partner with third party financial technology providers to bring value to our clients.

  • Meet with external third party partners to understand their business and assess the value of building an integration for our clients (Issuers and corporates)

  • Have analytical-solving skills in order to assess the uniqueness of each integration and how it can fit into a consistent and overall product offering

  • Work with the regional product teams to understand individual market needs and challenges in order to prioritize enhancements on the roadmap

  • Work with the third party product teams and internal product owners to communicate the business needs and ensure enhancements are developed to meet business needs.

  • Support the build of front and back-end integrations, while understanding both the technical side, business process and also the end customer experience.

  • Inform development team on any integrations enhancements, familiar with how mid and large corporate use of ERPs, Accounting Software, CRMs, etc.

  • Collaborate with the technical product owner and development teams to ensure teams understand the details and that the product enhancements are implemented successfully and on time.

  • Responsible for go to market and other product documentation to support integrations collaterals such as marketing material, implementation guides, tear sheets, product overview, pitch decks and technical documentations.

  • Work with marketing, sales, partnerships, implementation, and support teams to help them collaborate with financial institutions and corporate clients regarding integration services.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams when working with clients to onboard a new issuer or corporates onto these integration services.

  • Become the advocate for the integrations, being able to explain the benefits of each third party integration and usage for their client-specific use cases.

  • Contribute to short term and long-term strategy for our third party integrations as part of the overall API ecosystem strategy and considering priorities, market needs and competitive landscape.

  • Support the pilot process when rolling out a new integration or feature. Work with pilot third party, client, issuer and internal teams to run a thorough pilot and assess production readiness

  • Implement pricing for any new products, features or offerings. Develop pricing models and work with internal teams and regional teams to assess impact to individual markets and finalize product pricing.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
