The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Lead Software Engineer to guide our software engineering teams towards delivering top-tier Emerging Consumer Payment solutions. This leadership role is crucial to our organization as we reshape the future of commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage software engineering teams to deliver high-quality, resilient software solutions that meet or exceed business requirements.
Drive the invention, design, and implementation of emerging consumer payment technologies.
Work cross-functionally with product teams, other engineering teams, operations, and infrastructure teams to design, develop, and launch global products.
Oversee decision-making processes for design trade-offs and long-term architecture planning.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team, encouraging exploration of new technologies and solutions.
Ensure delivery of highly available, enterprise-scale systems, leveraging innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
Foster opportunities for team members to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
Strong understanding of software development and a passion for technology.
Expertise in one or more general programming languages like Java.
Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with an emphasis on quality and scalability.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
Excellent collaboration skills with a proven record of partnering with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
We are looking for a technically strong individual who is curious about the payment eco-system and drive adoption and drive innovation and keeping the customer focus.
Minimum of 4yrs of exp in leading engineering teams
Proven experience delivering large scale, highly available production software.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A deep understanding of end-to-end software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
Payment processing background desirable but not required
Experience working in an Agile and Test-Driven Development environment, Strong business and technical vision.
Drive Agentic Ai adoption in team to bring out productivity and more adoption for avenues of opportunity.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160,600.00 to 232,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
