Job Description
Team Summary:
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, digital marketing and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
Within VCA exists Visa Managed Services (VMS) for Advisory, a team of global consultants dedicated to helping our clients grow their businesses through strategic execution and implementation support.
What a Client Consulting Manager does at Visa:
As a Client Consulting Manager you will help banks, fintechs, and payment networks design, implement, and optimise credit-card value propositions and merchant-led campaigns. You will be accountable for the full consulting lifecycle—from diagnostic and business-case development through contractual set-up, campaign execution, tracking, and post-mortem analysis—delivering measurable outcomes for our clients while meeting the project-margin and quality targets.
Specific Responsibilities include
Client Advisory & Project Leadership
- Shape engagement scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets, develop project plans and governance models.
- Serve as day-to-day client lead, facilitating workshops, steering-committee updates, and C-suite presentations.
- Translate client objectives into actionable work-streams covering product proposition, merchant partnership strategy, technical enablement, marketing, and analytics.
End-to-End Campaign Implementation
- Build campaign frameworks (objectives, segmentation, offer mechanics, channels, KPIs) aligned to client economics and brand.
- Coordinate cross-functional client teams, agencies, vendors, and scheme partners to ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee creative development and regulatory approvals, establish UAT and launch checklists to guarantee flawless execution.
Tracking, Analytics & Optimisation
- Define success metrics and analytical methodologies, work with client data teams to create dashboards.
- Conduct pre/post analyses, A/B tests, and ROI assessments, translate insights into optimisation recommendations and future roadmaps.
- Build knowledge assets and case studies to be reused across the practice.
Practice & Business Development
- Contribute to go-to-market material, proposals, RFP responses on card value propositions and loyalty trends.
- Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities during delivery, partnering with Directors/Partners to convert them into follow-on work.
- Mentor junior staff across the practice, lead internal training sessions on campaign delivery best practices.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Preferred Qualifications
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Consulting tool-set: hypothesis-driven problem solving, structured communication, financial modelling, and story-lining.
•Client leadership & relationship-building: able to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex organisations.
•Commercial acumen & negotiation: craft win-win propositions for clients and their merchant partners.
•Project & change management: juggle multiple work-streams, manage risks, drive decisions, and mobilise stakeholders.
•Analytical mindset: comfortable turning large data sets into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
•Team leadership: coach, motivate, and develop junior consultants, foster inclusive, high-performance culture.
•Attention to detail and compliance consciousness.
•Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field,
•8+ years total experience including:
oMinimum 5 years in a implementation consulting role with consulting firms (Big 4, boutique) or product implementation manager with financial services AND
oHands-on exposure to credit-card product management, merchant partnerships, or marketing campaign execution (issuer, scheme, fintech, or loyalty program).
•Proven track record of leading cross-functional work-streams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
•Strong understanding of card economics (interchange, rewards funding, merchant funding, P&L) and digital marketing levers.
•Familiarity with relevant regulatory and scheme requirements in at least one major market/region.
•Proficiency with project-management tools, data analysis, and card marketing preferred.
