Job Description
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for securing employee access to our core applications in the most efficient, complaint and user-friendly manner, innovatively using the latest industry standards and tools.
Visa's IAM eco-system includes an extensive, and highly customized, rich Identity Management platform implementation. The team has successfully implemented many of the core components. With a constant moving and expending environment, the IAM team is exploring all processes and technology to expand the security coverage and improve the end user experience.
With the additional features and the goal of extensive coverage comes a higher level of complexity, criticality, overall usage, and dependency on the environment.
We are seeking an energetic, young Cybersecurity aspirant or experienced IAM Engineer with development background to become a member of our Global team of IAM experts to lead and influence further development, operations, and support of the IAM environment as well as collaborate with Visa eco-system IT teams and Cybersecurity stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a fundamental understanding of Identity and Access Management and security concepts as well as hands-on in-depth experience with a programming/scripting language. In addition, the candidate should possess the ability to develop complex solution, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, and the willingness to take on challenges.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of responsibilities within the User Access Review (UAR) track, leveraging expertise in the SailPoint Certification feature.
Evaluate current UAR solutions, gather and clarify new requirements, and actively engage in technical discussions to promote best design practices alongside team leads.
Collaborate with global UAR and AAG teams to capture business needs and ensure alignment with design strategies.
Self-driven and willing to learn and work on IAM technology stack on any tool.
Quickly master the MyAccess Portal tool, including its customization capabilities, to provide ongoing technical support from the UAR perspective.
Develop and implement new solutions using appropriate technologies and tools, following Scrum methodologies to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Address and remediate security vulnerabilities within assigned solution areas, ensure disaster recovery protocols are executed successfully, and maintain high solution availability in line with SLAs.
Partner with Platform and QA teams throughout UAR cycles to ensure efficient and timely rollouts.
Coordinate closely with team leads, international colleagues, platform teams, and QA to deliver projects on schedule and achieve business goals.
Drive the integration of Data Science and AI within the UAR team, setting an example in innovating and automating processes to simplify solutions and minimize manual efforts for end users.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
•2 or more years of work experience.
•Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Unix Shell Script, and Python, with a strong emphasis on foundational understanding and the practical application of AI in daily tasks.
•Strong Node.Js, React.js with good UI development experience with end user centric design thinking experience is must.
•Hands-on development experience with any IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, OIM, Okta, ForgeRock Identity) is highly desirable.
•Demonstrates a strong innovative mindset with proven experience in automation, familiarity with AI platforms such as GenAI and Co-pilot is highly valued.
•Around 2 years of experience in troubleshooting applications within complex networked environments.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and effectively resolve complex issues is a significant advantage.
•Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and test automation concepts, experience with tools like Jira and Git is essential.
•Knowledge of technologies and services such as SOAP/REST API’s, Core Java, JavaScript frameworks, and SQL is considered beneficial.
•Quick to learn new programming languages, security tools, and processes, with a keen interest in embracing industry advancements like AI.
