Job Description
Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for managing large-scale, strategic initiatives within the DPS One program — a cornerstone of Visa’s Debit Processing Services modernization strategy. You will oversee multiple workstreams spanning product, technology, and operational functions, ensuring successful delivery of new products, features, and services that drive client satisfaction, differentiate Visa’s DPS offering, and enable revenue growth.
You will lead end-to-end program delivery using SAFe Agile principles, drive cross-functional collaboration, manage complex dependencies, and communicate progress, risks, and results to senior leadership. This role requires strategic thinking, strong execution discipline, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
Essential Functions
Program & Project Leadership
- Manage and support strategic DPS One projects and initiatives with full ownership and accountability from inception through delivery.
- Achieve program goals by engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels across Visa, including technical SMEs, client services partners, vendors, and Visa senior management.
- Coordinate and facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, solution-level ceremonies, and Agile Release Train (ART) execution in alignment with SAFe Agile practices.
- Drive the agenda for program plans, financial results, stakeholder engagement, and “hot” issues/opportunities.
Meeting & Planning Management
- Develop and prioritize agenda topics, follow up on action items, and ensure timely closure of open items.
- Plan for critical meetings — including schedule management, pre-work, meeting topics, supporting materials, and follow-ups.
- Oversee and align program deliverables relevant to DPS product lines, technology implementations, and operational readiness.
Execution & Delivery
- Assist with prioritization, issue identification, and problem-solving across multiple workstreams.
- Track action plans and develop clear communication on progress to all applicable parties.
- Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and impediments, escalating or unblocking as needed to maintain delivery momentum.
- Coordinate vendor engagement and integration activities (e.g., disputes platform upgrades, fraud management pilots).
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide regular updates on project status, progress, milestones, deliverables, and outcomes via multiple communication channels.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting for Quarterly Business Reviews, Program Governance forums, and senior leadership updates.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure departmental compliance with Visa’s standard operating procedures, governance, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by implementing best practices, refining processes, and mentoring team members on program management and Agile delivery.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
•9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
•4 or more years of program/project management experience in a technology or financial services environment.
•3+ years of experience in a SAFe Agile environment, including facilitating PI Planning and managing Agile Release Train (ART)-level initiatives.
•SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Program Consultant – SPC, SAFe Release Train Engineer – RTE, or SAFe Agilist – SA) strongly preferred.
•Proficiency with linear software development life cycles and methodologies such as Agile (SAFe) and waterfall.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively and confidently with users, team members, and senior leadership.
•Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to elicit requirements from diverse stakeholders across organizational and geographical boundaries.
•Aptitude for understanding, digesting, and analyzing complex systems integration.
•Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to build robust, reliable, and scalable payment solutions.
•Flexibility to work across varying time zones and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Knowledge of issuer processing technology or solutions a plus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 120,900.00 to 175,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
