Job Description
The Director, Global Growth Cohorts is part of the Global Content Strategy, Development & Distribution team, reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships & Distribution. This individual will be part of a global team responsible for developing and scaling a transformational audience-first approach that identifies the most influential, highest value segments for growth.
This individual will help manage and action the Growth Cohorts initiative —a strategic, audience-first approach designed to identify, activate, and optimize high-value consumer segments that can deliver significant business impact. This person should always be curious, and have a passion for data-informed audience understanding, including:
- Proven success in building predictive, addressable audience plans with advanced data strategy
- Knowledge of the technology and tools that help unlock meaningful insights at scale
- Experience with Global brands who have built new ways to deliver market-specific audience understanding
Essential Functions
- Develop and Integrate Growth Cohorts - Lead the development and integration of growth cohorts across Visa, leveraging data, behavioral insights, and AI.
- Strategic Embedding - Embed cohort insights into core Visa initiatives, including sponsorships and partnerships.
- Collaboration - Partner with Global Insight & Analytics teams to advance market-specific audience understanding.
- Cross-Functional Leadership - Align Global and Regional teams for consistent cohort activation, measurement, and reporting.
- Task Force Leadership - Chair a dedicated task force for local adaptation, rollout, and performance tracking of cohort initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement - Deliver ongoing insights, best practices, and recommendations to identify new cohort opportunities.
- Innovation - Contribute creative ideas, especially around Visa’s major partnerships in sports, music, and travel, and support effective experimentation.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in consumer segmentation, audience strategy, or growth marketing, ideally within financial services or technology.
- Deep understanding of data-driven marketing, customer journey mapping, and predictive analytics.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional, strategic initiatives in global organizations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with or managing AI/ML-driven insights a strong plus.
- Extremely organized with keen attention to detail, managing multiple workstreams at once.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
