Job Description

Team Summary:

The Global FX & Cross Border Solutions (“GFX”) team is accountable for the design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class, enterprise-grade, FX, settlement, virtual accounts, and currency management solutions. Our purpose is to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world that, in turn, protects and grows Visa FX revenues.

We do this by enabling sales to sign new and existing customers together with the post-contract delivery of a broad suite of flexible, transparent, and competitive FX solutions via the FX Marketplace.

What a Senior Manager in GFX Solutions does at Visa:


A Senior Solutions Manager in GFX supports or enables the discovery, delivery and scalability of new and existing cross border, FX, and settlement capabilities across client segments in the region. This person will act as the solutions specialist in core purchase, money movement, commercial, and merchant & acquiring focused client-facing teams. Performance is measure on the successful deployment of cross-border value added solutions, including; Persistent FX; Multicurrency Wallets with Real Time FX; Commercial & B2B Travel Cross Border Solutions; flexible FX rate options on Visa Direct; and offering new FX & cross-border services to acquirers and merchants.

Specifically, this role will focus on:

Cross-Border GTM Solutions & Best Practices:

  • Will help discovery of a customer needs through client discussions and analysis of market trends
  • Work with sales teams in region to develop of deploy Visa solutions to meet these customer needs
  • Work with marketing, the cross-border team, and across the GFX product and solutions team to develop “playbooks” with client-facing materials focused on FX and settlement capabilities
  • Liaise with other solutions specialist within GFX and wider Visa to develop an institutional understanding of FX and the value it has to customers and ourselves

Internal and External Education & Solutioning focused on deployment of value-added solutions in all Visa deals, across Core, CMS, and VAS:

  • Support the specialized learning path for FX and Settlement with client-facing teams across Visa’s three growth pillars (Core, CMS, and VAS) and in market-facing discussions for enablement of FX and Settlement products and solutions
  • Contextualize use cases and create feedback loop from internal and external clients which feeds into our FX and Settlement product roadmaps
  • Generate and iterate detailed documentation that explains how solutions work alongside why these create value for all participants
  • Provide subject matter expertise in pitches and other client engagements
  • Provide industry knowledge and implications on known or potential impacts to clients relative to FX and Settlement Solutions

Commercial minded execution focused on protecting, growing, and delivering FX and Settlement solutions in market with clients:

  • Execute on strategic plans to protect and grow FX revenue via identification of a prioritized list of markets and types of clients (internal and external) for practical suitability of FX and Settlement products and solutions
  • Support RFP responses with a heavy cross-border focus: develop and contribute towards pitch materials on FX and Settlement components of client deals
  • Align with regional stakeholders to accelerate delivery and adoption of FX and Settlement use cases/solutions
  • Advocate for GFX products and initiatives with clients through consultative selling, in collaboration and conjunction with core AE, and specialized commercial, Money Movement, and VAS sales teams

Responsibilities:

Specifically, this role will focus on:

  • GFX Product readiness, GTM Planning & Best Practices
  • Work closely with product leads to ensure product deployment readiness in the market context; provide feedback and collaborate on product roadmap features; identify and engage with ecosystem enablers to facilitate client conversations and solutioning
  • Develop and deliver “playbooks” with client-facing solutions materials focused on settlement and emerging FX capabilities

Internal and External Stakeholder Education:

  • Support specialized learning path for GFX capabilities & support the broader team/client-facing staff in market-facing discussions for enablement of value propositions
  • Contextualize use cases and create feedback loop from internal and external clients which feeds into our GFX product roadmaps
  • Provide product subject matter expertise in pitches and determine impacts to delivery resources
  • Provide industry knowledge and implications on known or potential impacts clients relative to FX or Settlement solutions
  • Track and understand customer needs and trends providing insights into how they are/may impact client business models while informing the product strategy

Commercial Pipeline and deal execution for GFX:

  • Help to build the GFX business within the region via identification of a prioritized list of target markets and clients (internal and external) for commercialization of the GFX FX and settlement capabilities
  • Support RFP’s: develop, manage and coordinate pitch materials on GFX components of client deals
  • Align with regional stakeholders on client engagement model to drive deal throughput
  • Responsible for the scaling of GFX use cases/solutions
  • Advocate for GFX products and initiatives with clients through consultative selling, in collaboration with Visa sales teams
  • Inform GFX product strategy by developing in-market viewpoint and advocating for client needs internally

Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional experience in payments, banking or payment processing, having performed productization or solutioning in client-facing roles. Experience in modern card-scheme, instant ACH solutions, and cross border account payments preferred
  • Knowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamics
  • Deep knowledge in consumer, business and merchant banking and according payments flows and systems. Visa and retail payment industry knowledge as well as P2P, B2C and B2B market experience is a plus, but not required
  • Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate technical solutions
  • Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way
  • Understanding of mobile, API and service-oriented architecture
  • Ability to see through business problems and create technical solutions to address the client needs and end user demand. Consultative product solutions experience within an enterprise or financial services environment
