Job Description

Our Finance Velocity Office was designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This function is shaping our transformation strategy, improving our business operations and enhancing the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Reporting & Analytics Senior Business Analyst to drive analytics and enable business decision-making. This role will be part of our Business Intelligence Team and will report to a Senior Manager responsible for technical requirements.

The primary responsibilities include delivering management reporting and analytics through a deep understanding of finance data, managing a growing portfolio of reporting and BI requests, and collaborating with finance stakeholders to meet their reporting needs. The ideal candidate should have experience in financial analysis, data analysis, and business intelligence tools. This role will also work closely with our Data Strategy & Governance team to standardize data definitions and establish single sources of truth across Finance.

Essential Functions

  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business and reporting needs.

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to gather requirements and support roll-out activities

  • Collaborate with the Data Strategy & Governance team to standardize data definitions and logic across Finance

  • Solutioning the end-to-end design of reporting logic and data transformation processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and reporting requirements. Critically evaluate the structure and effectiveness of reporting design and logic, proactively identifying gaps or inefficiencies

  • Participate in various projects to support deployment efforts and system implementation including documenting process and business requirements, data validation and reconciliation, tracking issues and defects, and other ad-hoc requests from different stakeholders

  • Harmonize data sources from multiple systems to ensure consistency and reliability

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline existing processes

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Design insight-driven reporting and visualizations that empower users with self-service BI capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, developers, QA teams, and external vendors.

  • Act as a data subject matter expert with an understanding of the data from both technical process and business perspective

  • Documentation: Capable of producing clear, comprehensive business requirement documents, process flows, and user guides.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and aptitude learning other reporting tools and software (PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle, etc.), plus strong in Powerpoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with ability to work cross functionally and as well as independently
• Strong team player and ability to learn quickly
• Strong investigative skills to identify, troubleshoot, and follow up on system issues or business process inefficiencies.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, resourcefulness, and ability to follow-through

Preferred Qualifications
• 6+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related quantitative field or 4+ years of relevant experience with an advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+ years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Experience in dashboard design and user interface development
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a complex and changing environment
• Enjoys ambiguity and puzzle-solving
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, DAX (PowerBI), and other BI platforms helpful for validation, testing, and report design

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 116,300.00 to 168,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
