Job Description

Visa U.S.A, Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to

  • Supervise Security Governance activities related to PPT.
  • Develop and sustain the PPT Security Summary Dashboard and PPT Scorecard under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in creating and disseminating reports (weekly, monthly, ad-hoc) as required to management and executive management.
  • Participate in Security Exception reconciliation meetings with Cybersecurity Assurance, providing support as needed.
  • Aid in coordinating the scheduling and execution of security tests, including CheckMarx, BlackDuck, and PEN tests.
  • Disseminate test results to project teams in a timely or automated manner.
  • Export test results to Cybersecurity Assurance for tracking.
  • Support the reconciliation of finding statuses with Cybersecurity Assurance.
  • Participate in remediation discussions and provide remedial support.
  • Escalate issues to TLT/Audit Coordinator as required.
  • Help the TLT/Audit Coordinator and project teams in drafting exceptions.
  • Conduct reviews of current environment controls to identify possible weaknesses that could result in audit findings.
  • Support the TLT/Audit Coordinator in decision-making regarding what artifacts should be provided to audit and how processes and procedures should be communicated.
  • Assist in managing open audit findings, including holding regular status meetings to provide updates on remediation, and identifying audit findings at risk of not meeting documented Target Dates for remediation.
  • Interface with varying levels within the organization, including Directors and Executive Management under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Security Engineer – related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
    • Security Governance theories and principles;
    • Security testing tools such as CheckMarx, BlackDuck, and PEN;
    • Dashboard and Scorecard Development;
    • Data Analysis;
    • Risk Assessment;
    • Project Coordination skills;
    • Audit Management.

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, Texas

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,800.00 to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
