Job Description

• Assess pricing and billing requirements and create clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets.
• Understand the as-is billing of the products that need to be automated.
• Perform reverse engineering and create documentation for billing systems.
• Be the primary liaison between other business units, engineering, and other applicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existing feature sets into billing systems.
• Provide data extracts from various databases to business teams to support business operations.
• Deliver automation projects with engineering teams from a prioritized backlog.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings.
• Develop deep understanding of the transactions and data generated by various billing, pricing and upstream platforms.
• Find actionable insights through exploratory analysis, impact accounting, and experimentation
• Communicate and evangelize data driven insights to ensure the product teams are building the right things and moving the right metrics
• Ensure that our data is trustworthy, reliable, and easy to access
• Ensure that user experience and design thinking are part of the solutions you build for end user

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• 7 or more years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree
• Self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to quickly establish clear, well thought out action plans
• Must have working experience building high volume and large scale distributed systems. Billing and/or Payments systems experience is a strong plus.
• Demonstrate a wide range of engineering experiences including many of these areas: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, SQL and Unix.
• Expertise in understanding complex data models and writing complex database queries for RDBMS, Hadoop and NoSQL
• Strong knowledge of agile development practices (especially Scrum and / or Kanban), methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Rally) and CI/CD, Devops
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to interface well with clients and partners at all levels
• Fast learner on both technical side and business side
