What does the Team do
The Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) team provides analytics and consulting services and data solutions to address client business issues leveraging market and internal data. This team is experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our data solutions. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team as we expand. Our team brings data solutions and associated services to clients around the world. Our global Financial Institution clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Companies, Large Corporate Enterprises, Multinational Organizations, and Governments. We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believe that the market is at an inflection point wherein Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.
What a Data Solutions Senior Sales Manager does at Visa:
As a Senior Sales Manager within the VCA team, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of non-traditional clients, including merchants, government agencies, and advertisers. Your focus will be on building and strengthening client relationships, driving revenue growth, and promoting Visa’s data solutions. You will collaborate with consultants and data scientists in the VCA team and with other cross-functional stakeholders and engage directly with key client key stakeholders to identify new opportunities, deliver client solutions, and achieve sales targets.
Detailed responsibilities include:
- Build a large portfolio of non-traditional clients (merchants, government agencies, advertisers, etc.) by leveraging existing Visa relationships, prospecting new relationships, hosting and attending industry events, and creating partnerships with resellers.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing and new clients, identifying and executing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to support client retention and expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client key stakeholders, promoting Visa’s data solutions and influencing client strategies.
- Meet or exceed revenue targets. Accurately forecast revenue and maintain a robust sales pipeline using Visa’s sales tools.
- Analyze client performance and identify business risks and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with VCA consulting, data science, and other Visa cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
- Support regular account reviews and provide clear reporting on progress against key performance indicators.
- Support sales enablement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What do you need:
- 10 years of experience in B2B sales of either technology or analytics solutions.
- Proven track record of selling-in complex, technical solutions by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, distilling client requirements, working around client or solution constraints, and proposing the right value proposition and product construct.
- Ability to plan, manage and close a complex sales effort and manage deals end-to-end from negotiation to closing and through to delivery.
- Full professional fluency in Japanese and business level English proficiency
- Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating intellectual and analytical rigor in understanding commercial and technical issues
- Able to independently lead and manage cross-functional initiatives, with proven leadership success in influencing internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated thought leadership and aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results

- Possess a high level of professionalism to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers
- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently across functions
