Job Description
Visa is seeking a highly capable Senior Manager to own core investigative and analytical functions within Visa's Insider Threat program. This role will manage complex investigations in partnership with the Investigations Lead, ensure case quality and compliance, and lead the program’s metrics, dashboard development, and pattern analysis efforts to prevent and mitigate insider threats and workplace violence incidents.
The Senior Manager will maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, and provide actionable intelligence to leadership through regular briefings and reporting. They will also be the primary owner of the program’s case audit process and will coordinate directly with key partners in ER, Legal, Cybersecurity, Business Conduct, and Physical Security to ensure timely and effective resolution of cases. Where bandwidth allows, the Senior Manager will contribute to program development, expansion, and specialized training initiatives.
Primary Functions
- Lead the monthly audit process to ensure case timelines, documentation quality, and compliance with legal/regulatory standards.
- Manage investigative workflows for assigned cases in coordination with the Investigations Lead.
- Own the development and maintenance of program metrics, dashboards, and trend analysis to identify emerging risks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Cyber, Legal, Business Conduct, ER) to resolve cases efficiently and strengthen proactive prevention measures.
- Gather and analyze internal and external intelligence and benchmarking data to inform program strategy and innovation.
- Support the Program Head in governance, strategy, and targeted training and awareness initiatives.
- Brief senior leadership when appropriate on emerging risk patterns, case updates, and program recommendations.
- Execute special projects to enhance employee engagement with the Insider Threat program.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Two years or more relevant insider threat, investigative, or intelligence experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Intelligence Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Criminal Justice, or related
Experience handling workplace violence or insider threat cases, to include having demonstrated interviewing and evidence handling skills
Knowledge of incident response, crisis management, data management best practices, and cyber security trends
Demonstrated success in working closely with a range of company partners, to include Security, Legal, HR, and Business Conduct, as well as external partners such as industry peers and Law Enforcement
Strong oral and written communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational, project and time management, data management, attention to detail, and research skills
Proficiency in related tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, and AI assisted tools
Ability to work and shift priorities as necessary in a fast paced, continuously changing environment, including translation of complex concepts and issues into insights and potential impact for Senior Management and non technical audiences
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree, e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Certifications in insider threat, e.g. Insider Threat Program Manager or Certified Threat Manager, CompTIA Security Plus, Certified Protection Specialist, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional
Specialized training in WAVR 21 or other threat assessment methodologies for determining risk for insider or external threats
Experience with counterintelligence or corporate espionage threats and mitigation

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 134,800.00 to 195,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
