Job Description

What is it all about...

As the Strategy and Operations Director on the Open Banking product team at Visa, you will lead strategic planning and roadmap prioritization across the Open Banking portfolio. You will be responsible for shaping the product narrative for senior stakeholders, driving clarity on priorities, and enabling execution across cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

The ideal candidate will quickly grasp product concepts, articulate value propositions clearly, and communicate topics such as product direction, resourcing needs, and programme milestones in a compelling and structured way. You should be confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 16m temporary position to cover for maternity leave.

What we expect of you, day to day:

• Develop and lead a cohesive strategic plan across the Open Banking product portfolio, aligned with Visa’s broader business objectives and ecosystem strategy.

• Define and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of product initiatives. Provide regular updates and insights to senior executives.

• Drive clarity and alignment on product roadmap priorities and delivery strategies. Collaborate with regional leadership to identify new business opportunities and growth areas.

• Lead the development of product strategy materials including use cases, revenue models, ROI analysis, and technical requirements. Support preparation for business reviews, leadership forums, and team meetings.

• Oversee planning and execution of product launches across the portfolio, ensuring stakeholder alignment and resource readiness. Partner with product leaders to resolve blockers and accelerate delivery.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What we're after...

• Bachelor degree in business, economics, or a related field - MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• •12+ years of experience in strategy, product management, or related fields -experience in financial services or fintech strongly preferred.
• Proven success in leading strategic initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and managing high-performing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
