Job Description
Visa seeks a Staff Software Engineer in Test to join the Treasury Test Engineering team, a part of the Payments Products Development team. The candidate for this position will be responsible for testing system infrastructure solutions for business-critical high visibility projects. This position will be based in Warsaw, Poland. This position is ideal for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about testing complex and challenging business problems and testing applications that provide an excellent user experience.
Experience in automated testing, CI & CD, and full stack software design and development is a plus. The candidate will be extensively involved in hands-on activities including analyzing business requirements and design documents, test documentation development, design walk-throughs, testing, building, and maintaining automated test solutions for multiple applications on a variety of technology stacks and coordinating with other application teams for integration testing.

Job Description

The Work itself
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of an enterprise level test automation suite.
- Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
- Contribute to the development of robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, B2B, and business to government solutions.
- Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology
- Opportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities.
- Defines test automation architecture including environments and connections.
- Organizes work on test automation framework.
- Defines Git-flow and code review process.
- Implements CI working with DevOps team.
- Has deep understanding of a project, infrastructure, business value, and a functionality they work on.
- Defines test suits, tracks test automation coverage, efficiency and stability.
- Organizes tasks allocation in QA team.
- Estimates stories, creates test documentation in Zephyr, tests requirements.
- Tests functionality defining what should be covered and how, defines what to automate, develops tests.
- Supports QA infrastructure.
- Provides technical leadership and mentoring
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Energy and Experience: A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about high quality software design and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale.
- Challenge the Status Quo: Comfort in pushing the boundaries, “hacking” beyond traditional solutions.
- Language Expertise: Expertise in one or more general development languages (Python, Java)
- Builder: Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability

- Partnership: Experience collaborating with Product, Development, Dev-ops, and Agile teams
