Job Description
What is it all about?
The Director of Sales Excellence is an exciting new director role who will lead various activities related to pipeline management, account management practice, client engagement survey, sales communication and sales enablement, amongst other Sales Excellence related activities. This role is crucial in evolving Visa’s sales approach, embedding a strong sales mindset and driving innovative thinking. This position focuses on driving the sales rhythm, sales efficiency, streamlining sales operations, ensuring the sales pipeline reflects the business objectives and implementing new ideas that accelerate time to close, implementation, and revenue. In addition, this director will champion the integration of AI-drive insights and automation to transform how our sales teams operate. The individual will manage a team responsible for Sales Enablement and Sales Communication, and collaborate closely with client-facing teams and regional and global counterparts to embed best practices and drive transformative change across the European region.

Strategic Leadership
What we expect of you, day by day:
- Define and execute the regional Sales Excellence strategy aligned with global priorities, leveraging best practices from other regions while also leading the way with European originated practices that can be shared with the other regions.
- Lead a team focused on Sales Enablement and Sales Communication, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Lead other adjacent areas that may be incorporated in the future such as contracting team
- Partner with senior leadership within the clusters, functions and global teams to identify growth opportunities and implement better ways to drive sales effectiveness.
- Significantly contribute to the identification and design of innovative sales processes that enhance the sellers effectiveness and productivity
- Proactive Problem Solving. Identify challenges and suggest practical solutions to improve sales processes.
- Develop and deliver the sales enablement annual plan, leading the regionalization of the sales plays, creating and delivering Europe specific enablement programs
- Lead the communication and training of new tools, and resources to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Create and disseminate sales communications, through OnPoint and other communication channels, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the Client Account Plan Center of Excellence, ensuring best practices and consistency across regions.
- Own the Global Client Engagement Survey process, including follow-up on client specific improvement plans.
- Maintain and update principles of Client Segmentation in alignment with global guidance.
- Maintain, evolve, and continuously communicate Sales Taxonomy in collaboration with global and functional teams.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to foster a strong sales mindset in Europe.
- Lead the commercialization and monetization workstreams of our larger events, including setting sales targets, driving communication to the sales teams, nurturing post event sales campaigns.
Qualifications
What we're after...
- Profound experience in Sales Excellence, Enablement, or related roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
- Experience in multinational environments and matrix organizations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strategic Thinking and Execution focus: Ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans, leading the execution through the immediate team and cross functional collaboration.
- Sales Enablement Expertise: Deep understanding of enablement tools, methodologies, and best practices. Creative mindset and inspirational approach to galvanize the sales teams and sales leaders.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for internal audiences at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills: experience managing multiple complex concurrent activities, working well under pressure and with a strong bias for action.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and drive insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Skilled at influencing and partnering across functions and geographies.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Communication: Articulate clear, concise, and impactful recommendations and updates to senior management, ensuring alignment and support for the initiatives.
