What it's all about -
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
The team is based in Milan and Rome, It focuses on Italian clients and combines strategy consultants and data scientists. As part of a global team, it collaborates daily with VCA team in Southern European teams (e.g. Spain, Portugal, Greece, Israel, Turkey and Malta) to share best practices, projects and methodologies.
We are currently looking for a Consulting Analyst to support and deliver projects for Visa clients and play a role in developing high impact projects for Visa clients in Italy.
Typically, 3 – 5 months in duration and running in parallel, potential projects could include strategy developments, portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, product design and launch, development of industry landscape evaluations to inform payments strategies, and optimization of client customer experience and supporting processes.

What We Expect Of You, Day To Day
- Support the VCA team in the delivery of projects for Visa clients across various domains, from payments, digital, products to strategy, including project management
- Support the managers towards the team’s goals and assist in the delivery of detailed data gathering, analysis and insight
- Perform market and trend analyses using Visa’s comprehensive global market research capabilities and data tool
- Support the implementation of strategy at market level including but not limited to workshops, client meetings, content development etc.
- Support the development and maintenance of VCA service sales and delivery collateral
- Support the VCA team with ongoing operations, administration and team building activities.
- Support in developing Thought Leadership knowledge and projects to learn about the future of payment and banking.
Qualifications
What we'd like from you -
- Payment industry, digital payments or payment processing experience preferred.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with a strong attention to detail that leverages multiple sources of information.
- Able to understand and start to disaggregate problem statement into distinct pieces of analysis.
- Use and adapt templates for unique client scenarios, optimizing structure to demonstrate + articulate key messages.
- Ability to execute quantitative & qualitative analysis with some guidance.
- Basic takeaways from the data + starting to craft storyline; ensure data quality + leverage data to support decision-making in project management.
- Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt.
- Proficient and ideally a power-user of spreadsheet and presentation tools.
- An interest in learning advanced analytics tools (SAS, R, Tableau, etc.).
- An interest in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus.
- An affinity for payments technology, FinTech and digital.
- Expertise in AI tools
- Expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to develop client presentations
