Job Description

Team Summary

Visa’s Marketing Services team brings together the full power of Visa’s marketing capabilities—insights, analytics, sponsorships, consulting, and execution—to help clients drive acquisition, engagement, and retention. The team partners closely with Sales, Product, Country Marketing, and external agencies to deliver commercially impactful marketing solutions that accelerate business growth across Visa’s ecosystem.

Role Overview

As Director, Marketing Services, you will lead the development and commercialization of Marketing Services solutions with Visa’s partners, with a focus on and not limited to - key merchants, issuers, acquirers, and Fintechs. Based in Sydney, this role partners closely with Account Executives, and local Marketing teams to identify client opportunities, shape solutions, and drive sustainable revenue and contribution margin growth.

This is a senior individual contributor leadership role with strong influence across stakeholders. You will report to the AuNZPI Marketing Services lead and work closely with the Australian marketing team and Account Executives to embed Marketing Services into client conversations and go-to-market strategies.

Success in this role will be measured by revenue performance, margin delivery, quality of client solutions, forecast accuracy, and stakeholder feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Services Growth:

  • Drive Marketing Services revenue and contribution margin growth by identifying and developing opportunities across the Visa partner ecosystem, prioritizing key merchants, issuers, acquirers, and Fintech partners.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to shape client-led opportunities and integrate Marketing Services into broader commercial conversations.
  • Support the development of client-facing proposals, pricing models, and value propositions aligned to Acceptance priorities.
  • Translate client business objectives into scalable, data-driven marketing solutions leveraging Visa’s capabilities.
  • Accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and commercial planning activities.

Collaboration & Solution Development

  • Work cross-functionally with Country Marketing, VCA, Insights & Analytics, and regional subject-matter experts to deliver integrated Marketing Services solutions.
  • Deliver and evolve Visa Marketing’s Passion Pillars, VM360 and End-to-End Campaign development and Execution priorities.
  • Collaborate with the regional Marketing Services community on best practices, solution innovation, and RFP responses.
  • Support regional planning processes including Quarterly Business Reviews, Marketing Services Operating Plans (MSO), and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
  • Build awareness and understanding of Marketing Services capabilities across Acceptance stakeholders through targeted communications and enablement.

Part Of The Visa Marketing Community

  • Develop a strong understanding of Visa’s core business and large Merchant, Issuers, Acquirer and Fintech growth strategies, as-well-as the Visa leadership principles.
  • Act as a confident ambassador for the Visa brand in all client and partner engagements.
  • Contribute actively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and culture-building initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in Marketing, Business Development, Consulting, Sales, or Commercial Strategy.
  • Proven experience managing senior-level partner or client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the payments, acceptance, or broader financial services ecosystem.
  • Commercial mindset with experience shaping revenue-generating solutions.
  • Excellent executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
