The CRM team also works in collaboration with Product, Finance, Legal, Client Services teams and other business function at Visa to drive client relationships.

Roles & Responsibilities Of This Position

This role is responsible for owning and expanding Visa’s relationships with global acquirers and payment service providers (PSPs), including but not limited to GMO-PG, DGFT, Adyen, and Worldpay, in Japan. The position serves as the primary point of orchestration on the acquiring side, enabling and accelerating Visa’s acquiring agenda through close partnership with global, regional and local ACQs and PSPs.

The role focuses on enabling, facilitating, and scaling the acquiring ecosystem, working end‑to‑end from strategy to execution. This includes driving the implementation of Visa initiatives and solutions on the acquiring side, aligning global product priorities with partner roadmaps, and ensuring successful technical and commercial enablement with clients.

A core mandate of the role is to build and deepen a robust payment ecosystem by strengthening partnerships with global ACQs and PSPs, identifying new use cases, improving acceptance and performance, and unlocking growth opportunities across both core and emerging payment flows.

The position requires a strong understanding of Visa’s business strategy combined with deep technical acumen, enabling hands‑on engagement with clients’ product, engineering, and operations teams. The role works closely with internal cross‑functional stakeholders (Product, Technology, Risk, Legal, VAS, and Marketing) and external partners to translate strategic objectives into executable solutions, remove implementation blockers, and ensure seamless delivery of Visa capabilities at scale.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Effectively executing Visa’s strategic priorities.
  • Developing and implementing relationship strategies in collaboration with cross-functional Visa teams.
  • Building and maintaining high-quality relationships at all levels within client organizations.
  • Ensuring clear understanding of client priorities and operational capabilities, and aligning work plans accordingly.
  • Coordinating the Visa team’s interactions with clients to deliver a seamless and professional client experience, aligned with agreed priorities.
  • Balancing client and Visa interests through ongoing analysis of business performance, market trends, regulatory developments, and competition to inform decision-making.
  • Driving a robust sales pipeline for core products and value-added services.
  • Taking ownership of business risks and ensuring effective risk management through consistent application of Visa’s key controls

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
