Job Description
What You’ll Do
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer. Experience with Financial Systems, preferably involving Accounting, Settlement, Reconciliation, or Ledger-based platforms. Strong proficiency in Java / Groovy or JVM-based languages, with ability to adapt to other languages such as Golang. Solid understanding of financial data modeling, including balances, transactions, postings, and adjustments. Advanced Git usage, including resolving complex version control scenarios. Strong debugging skills across distributed systems. Conducts thorough and high-quality code reviews with focus on correctness, maintainability, and cross-domain impact. Writes and validates unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests, with emphasis on data integrity. Experience documenting APIs and flows using Swagger, diagrams, and technical documentation, supporting internal and external consumers. Provides guidance on architecture, standards, and engineering best practices. Deep product understanding and active participation in feature planning and impact analysis. Proficiency with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Argo, Jenkins, and Codefresh, understanding their integrations. Advanced usage of Docker and Kubernetes. Adaptability or experience with Java, Groovy, or other JVM‑based languages. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo, Jenkins, Codefresh). Experience in the Financial Industry, especially with Accounting, Payments, Authorization, or Ledger‑based systems. Experience working with financial reconciliation, accounting postings, or regulatory‑sensitive systems is a strong plus. Strong experience with relational databases and strategies for non-relational data stores, including effective schema and data modeling. Designs scalable microservices and evaluates architectural trade-offs. Proficient in AWS, applying performance, cost, and reliability best practices. Identifies and resolves issues in distributed systems, improving stability and data consistency. For this role, you must be based in Brazil. Language Skills Proficiency in English at B2 level or above (Upper-Intermediate).

Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang or Java, following clean code principles and solid software engineering practices.
- Build and evolve event‑driven and microservices‑based architectures that handle financial movements, accounting entries, and lifecycle events with high reliability.
- Ensure data accuracy, idempotency, and consistency across distributed systems that process financial and accounting information.
- Collaborate closely with product, accounting, and engineering teams to translate financial and accounting requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Work with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge to process and persist financial events and state.
- Use Terraform to provision, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure with a focus on stability, security, and auditability.
- Implement unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests, ensuring correctness of financial calculations and system behavior.
- Monitor system health and financial flows using observability practices (metrics, logs, alerts, and tracing).
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to shared ownership, code quality, and knowledge dissemination.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, helping improve scalability, resilience, and maintainability of financial systems.
- Support incident analysis and root‑cause investigations, especially those related to financial discrepancies or accounting impacts.
