Visa Marketing Services helps clients grow through smart marketing strategy, creative thinking, and practical execution. We partner with innovative, tech enabled and financial services clients across business and consumer audiences, with a focus on measurable impact and sustainable growth.
The role
The Director, Client Marketing Partnerships leads a portfolio of strategic, fast moving clients and serves as a primary marketing partner for their business. You will deepen relationships, uncover growth opportunities, and steer integrated marketing programs that deliver results.
You will work closely with clients to understand their objectives, audiences, and constraints such as resourcing or capabilities. You will translate those insights into clear account plans and initiatives that bring together Visa Marketing Services, data, consulting, sponsorship, and AI enabled capabilities.
This role blends strategic thinking, people leadership, and hands on program oversight. You will lead a team of marketing professionals, set the bar for strategic rigor, business alignment, creative excellence, and smart use of AI, and ensure the team stays focused on the highest impact work.
What you will do
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

The estimated salary range for this position is $192,300.00 to $ 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

What you will do
- Lead day to day relationships with a portfolio of tech forward, growth oriented clients, acting as a trusted marketing advisor
- Build a deep understanding of each client business, including positioning, target audiences, revenue drivers, and competitive landscape
- Diagnose client marketing needs and translate them into clear strategies, opportunities, and plans
- Develop and manage client account plans and marketing roadmaps with defined outcomes and success metrics
- Collaborate with marketing, consulting, analytics, and sales partners to design solutions that leverage Visa data, platforms, sponsorships, creative resources, and AI tools where appropriate
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagement and drive incremental value for clients and for Visa
- Provide clear direction to creative, media, and digital partners so work is on strategy, on brand, and suited to modern, fast paced businesses
- Oversee execution of integrated programs across channels such as digital, social, lifecycle, content, experiential, and sponsorship activations
- Monitor performance, synthesize results, and share concise, executive ready recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders
- Champion the use of AI and automation in your team’s workflow to improve insight generation, creative development, and operational efficiency
- Represent the voice of the client within Visa to help evolve our marketing services for tech enabled and innovative clients
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing professionals, elevating strategic thinking, client partnership, and creative quality

- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD What you bring 10 or more years of business experience, with most in marketing, advertising, consulting, or strategic partnerships Experience leading multi client portfolios, for example in a creative agency, or in a client side role managing several strategic accounts or lines of business Proven track record managing senior client relationships and leading complex, multi-workstream marketing initiatives Experience leading and developing teams, setting direction, and raising the bar on strategic and creative output Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to turn business and audience insight into focused marketing strategies and plans Comfort experimenting with AI and modern marketing tools in your workflow, and helping teams use them responsibly to increase impact Ability to operate in fast paced, dynamic environments, manage multiple priorities, and keep cross functional teams aligned Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders Experience working with creative, media, or digital teams and delivering high quality work on compressed timelines A collaborative, low ego mindset and a high degree of curiosity, adaptability, and resilience
