The Visa Consulting and Analytics team is looking for a high-performance individual to join the team and play a key role in developing and delivering high‑impact projects across the Andean region. The potential candidate will support engagements with Visa Clients by developing, delivering, and implementing data‑driven projects and solutions on behalf of issuers, acquirers, and merchants. The ideal candidate will support initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, ensuring that Visa remains the preferred brand and a unique business partner.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver, equipped with strong analytical and quantitative skills suited to address key strategic and operational needs for Visa’s clients. Adept at creative and critical thinking, the candidate can deconstruct complex problems and translate insights into scalable, state‑of‑the‑art analytical and AI‑powered solutions. The candidate is a quick learner, highly hands‑on, and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
This role will also contribute to the design, prototyping, and implementation of Generative AI and agent based solutions, supporting the evolution of consulting workflows toward agentic driven processes.
Responsibilities:
Advanced Analytics, Data Engineering & Machine Learning:
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
BA/BS required Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields).
3+ years of overall professional experience, with a preferred minimum of 2 years in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, or Technology.
Experience designing and implementing analytics and machine learning solutions in business contexts.
Technical Skills:
Ability to design practical algorithms and write high‑quality, scalable code for gigabyte‑ to terabyte‑scale datasets.
Proven hands‑on experience in advanced analytics and statistical modeling (e.g., linear/logistic regression, clustering, classification, decision trees/random forests).
Experience using distributed computing technologies such as Hadoop (MapReduce, Pig, Hive) and Spark for batch and/or streaming data processing.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Familiarity with building analytical workflows, data pipelines, and automation solutions.
Generative AI Skills (Required / Desirable):
Hands‑on experience or strong exposure to Generative AI, LLM based tools, or AI agents.
Understanding of prompting strategies, embeddings, RAG architectures, and LLM capabilities and limitations.
Experience prototyping AI‑powered solutions to automate or augment analytical and business processes.
Desirable: Exposure to deploying GenAI or agent‑based solutions in production or semi‑production environments.
Soft Skills:
Strong teamwork, relationship management, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Delivery‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail and continuous improvement.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities:
Advanced Analytics, Data Engineering & Machine Learning:
- Work with large volumes of data extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using tools such as Hadoop ecosystem, Python, PySpark, Presto, SQL, and related technologies.
- Perform hands‑on data cleaning, wrangling, analysis, and visualization of large, complex datasets.
- Parse, aggregate, and transform messy, incomplete, or unstructured data into high‑quality analytical datasets suitable for modeling and insights generation.
- Develop, validate, and optimize advanced data mining techniques, statistical models, and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
- Build, enhance, and optimize scalable code and analytical pipelines supporting critical business processes.
- Implement machine learning solutions using Python (scikit‑learn), Spark ML, or similar frameworks.
- Support the implementation and execution of complex analytical models and distributed data pipelines on large datasets.
- Develop and deploy analytical models and data‑driven solutions for Visa clients, including issuers, acquirers, and merchants.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and analytical products using Tableau (preferred) and/or Power BI.
- Leverage Visa’s proprietary data assets, platforms, and analytics capabilities to design standardized and reusable consulting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate repeatable analyses and build streamlined analytical tools for consultants and clients.
- Contribute to the design, prototyping, and implementation of GenAI powered solutions, including LLM‑based applications, copilots, and AI agents.
- Support the redesign of analytical and consulting processes into agentic‑driven workflows, enabling automation, orchestration, and decision support.
- Build rapid proofs of concept (POCs) and MVPs using GenAI techniques such as prompting, embeddings, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and tool‑augmented agents.
- Collaborate with consulting, product, data science, and technology teams to integrate GenAI solutions into existing analytical pipelines and business processes.
- Assist in testing, validating, and iterating GenAI solutions to ensure performance, reliability, and usability in real business contexts.
- Desirable: Contribute to the deployment of GenAI or agent‑based solutions (e.g., APIs, pipelines, internal tools), including monitoring and incremental improvements.
- Apply best practices related to responsible AI, data privacy, security, and model governance when working with GenAI solutions.
- Document GenAI use cases, prototypes, and technical approaches to facilitate knowledge sharing and reuse.
