Job Description
The Client Consulting Analyst, Visa Consulting & Analytics will work on consulting engagements for Visa clients in Visa’s Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands region, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients’ payment card businesses.
Typically 2-4 months in duration and running in parallel, potential projects could include portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategize, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and optimization of client customer experience and supporting processes.
Responsibilities
The Client Consulting Analyst will be responsible for supporting components of client engagements / consulting projects. Typically, this will involve the Client Consulting Analyst interacting with the project team (including Visa and client members), gathering and managing project inputs, analyzing data to form conclusions and recommendations, developing compelling project reports and supporting the execution of recommendations. The full range of responsibilities are detailed below:

- Support the preparation of client proposals and project plans, identifying dependencies, roles and responsibilities, scope and deliverables
- Prepare project materials including interview guides, data requirements, concepts, frameworks
- Collecting and analyse inputs such as client information, data, processes, policies, competitive and environmental information
- Conduct industry research, drawing on Visa and partner resources as well as colleagues to identify global best practices and distil insights relevant to the client problem at hand
- Create, develop and maintain models, contribute to IP creation and standardised VCA offerings
- Continuously build knowledge, surface new insights, and contribute to thought leadership pieces
- Identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement
- Create compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- The ideal candidate will be interested in the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team in gaining a deeper understanding. You will be intellectually curious and data-driven, always seeking to understand and solve complex challenges. Contributing to strategic engagements and influencing client outcomes is a key motivation for you.
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Strong team orientation, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Interest in developing presentation skills, building on strong oral and written capabilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple analyses concurrently.
- Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics, and proven ability to generate insights from data.
- Strong detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis
- Experience in financial services (banking, payments, investments).
- Financial modelling experience, including scenario analysis, business case development, financial statement modelling, market sizing and opportunity prioritization.
- Team-based, cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work with different teams such as client relationship, product, and innovation teams.
- Program/Project management skills including the ability to contribute to multiple projects running in parallel.
- Analytical and research skills including desktop research and stakeholder interviews to synthesize materials on a variety of topics.
- Technical Skills including facility with the MS Office suite of products (primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
