Job Description

Visa is seeking a strategic and execution‑focused Senior Director, Account Executive to lead and expand a key strategic partnership within the North American Enablers, Merchants and Fintechs (EMF) organization. This senior individual‑contributor role is responsible for driving and managing the partnership with one of our leading a community enabler partners, overseeing strategic planning, solution co‑development, commercialization of Visa products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, specifically in the Community Bank and Credit Union industry. The role requires strong commercial leadership, deep product fluency, and the ability to influence cross‑functional and external stakeholders to advance shared growth objectives and accelerate adoption of Visa’s highest‑priority solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Leadership

  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for one or more issuer‑enabler partners, shaping long‑term strategy and defining joint priorities across money movement, acquiring services, payments modernization, and value‑added services.
  • Develop and maintain multiyear partnership roadmaps aligned to Visa’s business objectives and the enabler’s platform direction.

Commercial Growth & Market Expansion

  • Drive revenue, product penetration, and adoption of Visa capabilities across with community enablers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable go‑to‑market programs to expand downstream adoption.

Solutioning and Delivery Excellence

  • Collaborate with product, technology, and platform teams to integrate Visa capabilities into the enabler’s system architecture and digital experiences.
  • Ensure high‑quality execution across the full partnership lifecycle, including contracting, implementation, readiness tracking, risk management, and performance optimization.

Performance Management

  • Establish clear performance metrics and objectives for the relationship, ensuring alignment with Visa’s strategic goals.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of partnership initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize outcomes.

Thought Leadership

  • Represent Visa at industry events, enabler forums, and community financial institution engagements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of trends affecting community financial institutions, including regulatory, competitive, and technology developments.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or related field, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in payments, financial services, fintech, or issuer enabler / core platform partnerships.
  • Proven experience managing complex commercial partnerships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the community financial institution market, platform integration, and digital banking ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, adoption, and portfolio expansion.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead across a matrixed organization, navigate ambiguity, and execute with excellence.

U.S. Applicants Only

The estimated salary range for this position is $210,900.00 to $ 369,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
