Job Description
Director, Global Security and Safety (GSS) - Executive Protection is responsible for physical security and risk identification and mitigation for Visa. Reporting to the Global Head of Executive Protection, the candidate will coordinate executive protection efforts as outlined in Visa’s Executive Protection strategy, and work closely with regional teams for planning and execution.
Qualifications
The estimated salary range for this position is $170,700.00 to $ 273,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
Work Hours
Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Job Description
Director, Global Security and Safety (GSS) - Executive Protection is responsible for physical security and risk identification and mitigation for Visa. Reporting to the Global Head of Executive Protection, the candidate will coordinate executive protection efforts as outlined in Visa’s Executive Protection strategy, and work closely with regional teams for planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum of twelve years specialized law enforcement, military and/or corporate security experience with at least 6 years of executive protection (EP) experience in these organizations.
- Possesses EP training and experience in the following specialties: team member, detail leader, primary and secondary vehicle driver, including armored vehicles, medical First Aid, CPR, AED and protective intelligence.
- Experience managing security details in domestic and international locations, both low and high risk.
- Demonstrated professional and relevant experience in physical security management, risk assessment, and mitigation measures.
- Eligible to obtain a Federal Air Marshal Service Armed Security Officer certification; possess a minimum amount of 12 years in US Law Enforcement or select US Military roles, good conduct, and honorable discharge.
- Operational understanding and fluent usage of today’s technology tools across all platforms ,PC, tablet, smartphone-smartwatch, radio, satellite, tracking device, etc.
- Must maintain up-to-date driver’s license.
- Valid up-to-date passport.
- Ability to interact with senior management.
- Be a poised leader and team player who gains support from all levels of the organization, including senior executives.
- Excellent follow-up skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task, have leadership presence, strong team-orientation and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi-location team structure.
- Be in possession of a valid and up to date HR-218 certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.
