Team Summary

As part of the Visa’s Asia Pacific Consulting Practice, Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) applies deep expertise in payment industry to provide solutions and consulting services to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. We drive tangible, impactful, and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as analytics, credit card product development, risk management, marketing, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments, among others, and solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

What a Manager, Visa Consulting and Analytics does at Visa:

The Manager, Visa Consulting & Analytics will undertake consulting engagements for Visa clients, enabling portfolio growth and improved profitability in clients’ credit and debit payment card business.

Potential projects could include portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices, and optimizing client customer experience and supporting processes.

Working with the Supervisors and collaborating with other team members in VCA and Visa Asia Pacific, the Manager will draw on their deep domain knowledge and expertise to provide recommendations to clients, work that will enable enduring, strategic relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead the delivery of a small project or a workstream within a more complex project, with support from Analysts, Associate Analysts, or vendors.
  • Define project scope, understand clients’ objectives, and frame key business problems or opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze inputs such as client information, interviews, data, processes, policies, and market or competitive information.
  • Define detailed analytic scope and methodology, and create a clear analytic plan.
  • Execute analysis using appropriate data mining and analytic techniques, including extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, issues, and opportunities.
  • Generate clear, practical, and actionable insights from analysis to support client decision-making and business performance improvement.
  • Synthesize findings into client-ready presentations, reports, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops as part of client engagements, helping clients solve problems, align across teams, and achieve project objectives.
  • Support proposal development for smaller opportunities and contribute to shaping proposed solutions for more complex engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across VCA and other Visa functions in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Around 8 years of relevant work experience in consulting, analytics, payments, consumer finance, banking, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down unclear business questions into clear and actionable steps.
  • Able to transfer data analysis skills across different business topics and adapt quickly to new project scenarios.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more analytics or programming tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or R.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience in credit cards, card issuing, payments, or consumer lending, with prior consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience working on client-facing projects, with strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage smaller projects and work hands-on in larger projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
