Job Description
Client Services provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we are a key internal partner to product and technology, bringing the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services, and enabling our client facing teams to deliver and scale new products in the market.
This role is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading complex, high-impact implementation initiatives for VisaNet Endpoint clients across North America. The Sr. Consultant operates with a high degree of autonomy, drives tactical execution end-to-end, and contributes beyond delivery through structured problem solving, operating model improvements, and mentorship of junior team members.
Essential Function
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD), or a minimum of 2 years of experience with a PhD.
Extensive hands-on experience leading technology-driven implementation or program initiatives, with a strong command of project management methodologies, IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and applications.
Proven ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, exercising sound judgment to resolve complex issues, drive outcomes, and influence delivery direction.
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in written, verbal, and presentation settings, including executive-level audiences.
Experience leveraging AI‑enabled or automation tools to improve project execution, analysis, documentation quality, or operational efficiency.
Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to stronger delivery standards, knowledge transfer, and team capability development.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise serving as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager for complex, multi‑workstream implementations involving Visa products and services.
Strong ability to gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements, while providing consultative guidance on Visa regulations, fees, features, and functionality.
Proven track record managing multiple concurrent, high‑complexity implementation projects, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
Experience leading or directing cross‑functional technical and business resources, including oversight of other project managers where appropriate.
Ability to identify unique client requirements and project risks, and proactively drive mitigation strategies without over‑committing internal resources.
Demonstrated success defining project scope, developing comprehensive project plans, establishing milestones and deliverables, and managing dependencies and contingencies.
Strong consultative and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence client and internal stakeholder decisions to align Visa and client objectives.
Experience escalating at‑risk initiatives and partnering with senior and executive leadership—both internal and client‑facing—to resolve issues and ensure successful outcomes.
Proven capability to analyze client portfolios, operational infrastructures, and processes, using insights to guide implementation strategy.
Track record of identifying and driving continuous process improvement initiatives that result in reduced cycle times, improved efficiency, cost optimization, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
Solid working knowledge of payment systems, including authorization, clearing, settlement services, and client connectivity models.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project or equivalent).
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical and operational concepts to diverse audiences, including executives.
Strong attention to detail, quality, and rigor in reporting, documentation, data analysis, and executive‑level presentations.
Self‑motivated, results‑oriented professional with strong business acumen, capable of balancing strategic thinking with disciplined execution.

- Engage directly with clients to gather, analyze, and document implementation requirements, supporting new installations, conversions, enhancements, and maintenance activities with no adverse operational impact.
- Manage multiple concurrent implementation initiatives involving VisaNet Endpoint connectivity, systems, and applications, applying standard project management methodologies and governance.
- Coordinate and influence cross‑functional internal teams and external partners to deliver project milestones, commitments, and outcomes on schedule.
- Partner with technology and product teams to assess new business initiatives and understand impacts to existing and future client programs.
- Drive resolution of non‑routine and complex processing or change requests supporting both tactical delivery and strategic client objectives.
- Maintain full ownership and accountability for assigned initiatives, independently prioritizing work, resolving risks and issues, and meeting delivery timelines.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, positioning Visa as a strategic partner.
- Develop and maintain project documentation and artifacts (project plans, status reports, meeting notes, action and issue logs) in alignment with Visa standards and client requirements.
- Lead project communications, including dashboards, stakeholder updates, and executive summaries, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
- Report on project status, risks, accomplishments, and deliverables to management and key stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training support to internal and cross‑functional teams, as applicable.
- Support off‑hours implementation activities, including evenings and weekends, as required for configuration changes, cutovers, and post‑production validation.
- Apply Al-enabled and agentic tools to drive execution improvements, identify and propose scalable enhancements to implementation processes and products, and help elevate team practices through more efficient, insight-driven delivery.
