The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing exciting growth opportunities as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core commercial card solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as we expand to bring payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients and Governments. We work closely with Financial Institutions, Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. Our focus within Commercial Solutions is to identify needs, assess opportunities and avenues where we can quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution

What a Director, Visa Commercial Solutions, Does At Visa

Working from Manilla, you will be working closely with the Head of Sales, Philippines and Head of Visa Commercial Solutions for IPVMC, to understand the market landscapes, and assist Philippines market teams with their business development and Go-to-Market strategies. You will be providing specialist sales guidance and consultation, business strategy development, and will play a key role in executing that country strategy to drive commercial card flows and deploy commercial solutions and services for new B2B flows for Large market and SMB portfolios.

The individual will be required to drive new business thinking and develop and deliver market centric business solutions, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Be a core contributor in designing and deploying the multi-year strategy to ensure growth for Visa Commercial Solutions across focus segments and clients.
  • Lead client engagements along with the local sales teams, to drive expansion of Visa Commercial Solutions opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Lead executive-level, C-suite engagements—positioning and tailoring Visa’s Commercial Solutions value proposition to influence strategic direction, secure senior sponsorship, and progress end-to-end sales opportunities to close
  • Deliver market relevant solutions for the commercial sector, targeting Large Corporates, Middle Market Enterprise and Deliver market relevant solutions for the commercial sector, targeting Large Corporates, Small Businesses segments.
  • Lead and develop local B2B partnerships to capture new flows and deploy new business models within the ecosystem.
  • Represent Visa’s Commercial Business at industry events and forums withing the Philippines.
  • Leverage appropriate Visa assets and product management resources to deliver exceptional business/issuer/acquirer value.
  • Be an advocate for business, collaborate across market and regional teams to ensure plan delivery and business growth.
  • Be a role model in everything that you do and a champion of Visa’s leadership principles and be the “voice” of Visa’s commercial solutions business in the Philippines.
  • Drive portfolio governance and investment decisions—prioritize initiatives and allocate resources across segments/clients based on ROI, strategic fit, and execution readiness and ensure delivery against revenue and volume targets.

We are looking to hire candidates who have accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry, results-driven and client-centric. As a candidate you should have:

  • Solid experience in the Commercial Cards and/or Cash Management/transactional banking space
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in top tier financial institutions, payments network or financial services firm
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic business deployment with experience as an individual contributor executing on key initiatives
  • A deep understanding of current B2B payment trends, regulatory environment and current market landscape and gaps within the Philippines
  • Strong experience working directly with, supporting and influencing FI, non-FI and Fintech clients & partners
  • Good knowledge of product management and development, data driven insights and finance
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross functional and cross regional teams
  • Successful track record of internal and external stakeholder management and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
  • A passion and energy for innovation and collaboration
  • The ability to communicate confidently in English
