Job Description

As Disruptive/ Market Movers Sales Leader at Visa, this role is pivotal in shaping and executing a forward-looking commercial strategy for Peru´s issuing and ecosystem players business. The leader will drive accelerated growth by identifying disruptive opportunities, unlocking new business models and delivering innovative client-centric solutions.

This role requires a bold and strategic mindset to challenge the status quo, anticipate market shift and position Visa as a key partner in the evolution of the payment ecosystem for these market movers.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager in Peru, the Sales Leader will oversee the Account Executive team, leading end-to-end client management, revenue growth and strategic account expansion within and beyond core. The position will play a central role in influencing and engaging key decision-makers—both internally and externally—including client leadership, government officials, and industry partners, to drive alignment with Visa’s commercial objectives and further ecosystem development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Peru’s Client Strategy: Lead and execute the commercial vision for Peru’s issuing and payment ecosystem business, aligning with country priorities while identifying new growth levers. Drive innovation in client strategies. Owned end-to-end relationships, ensuring long-term value creation, client satisfaction, and sustained business impact.

Lead a high-performing sales team, fostering culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Business development and account growth: Proactively identify and unlock new business opportunities, expanding beyond traditional offerings into high-value, strategic initiatives.

Drive upselling and cross-selling with existing accounts, ensuring strong execution and product adoption. Lead complex negotiations and deals structuring, partnering with specialist teams to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.

Anticipate client needs and market trends, acting strong ownership to originate and drive initiatives to execution.

  • Strategic Influence and client leadership: Act as trusted advisor to c-level stakeholders, shaping clients´ long-term payment and business strategy.

Influence senior decision-makers through compelling narrative, data-drive insight, and deep understanding of client and competitive landscape. Represent Visa in key industry forums and conversations, strengthening its position within the ecosystem.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to identify, develop, and execute cross-functional initiatives that advance country-level and Andino´s business goals.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the payments industry, with a proven track record in sales, business development, and client management. Brings a growth mindset, challenges the status quo, and thrives complex and fast-evolving environments.
  • Combines commercial acumen with strategic vision, and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Peru and LAC payment ecosystems, including evolving technologies and market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on developing talent and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, adept at engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and adept at navigating complex business environments.
