Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Deals & Finance Strategy CoOp to support our Annual Operating Plan (AOP), elevate the deals’ function, and help drive process optimization and automation. This role is ideal for a student interested in finance, strategy, operations, or data-driven problem‑solving. You will gain hands-on experience with financial modeling, process automation, and executive-level reporting for both Canadian and Global markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Support

  • Analyze deal wins and assess their impact on incentives and revenue.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on deals and related AOP implications.
  • Run driver sensitivity analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • Develop actionable executive reports and presentations to guide and influence decision making

Enhance the Deals Function Support

  • Standardize deal reporting to align with global best practices.
  • Build automated comparison charts for deal evaluation
  • Enhance the Deals SharePoint site with self‑service guidance, including good‑deal criteria, finance call‑outs for proposals, and preferred incentive structures.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Survey Account Executives (AEs) and the Client Leadership Team (CLT) to gather insights on enhancements to the deal process.

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Automate governance reporting to streamline visibility and oversight.
  • Automate issuer pro formas to improve speed, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Support the FY26 rollout of IDEAL, contributing to implementation, readiness, and adoption.

Additional Information

  • Internship Duration: 12 weeks starting May 2026
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Students currently pursuing an Degree, 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent client-facing communication, storytelling and presentation skills with ability to articulate findings in action-driven recommendations
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights
  • Ability to form hypotheses on client issue root causes and validate thinking quickly using data
  • Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt
  • Strong intellectual curiosity to understand the root cause of issues and how to drive value for clients
  • Proficient and ideally a power-user of spreadsheet and presentation tools
  • An interest in learning advanced analytics tools (SAS, R, Tableau, etc.)
  • An interest in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus
  • An affinity for payments technology and its future
  • Knowledge of finance a plus
  • Ability to speak, read and write French a plus

Additional Information:

Visa is looking to fill this vacant Summer Co-Op position. The anticipated compensation range for this position is $25 CAD to $32 CAD per hour. Visa uses artificial intelligence when assessing and selecting candidates
