Job Description

Visa is looking for a results-driven, tech-curious Account Executive with a passion for value-based solution selling. In this role, you will sell the entire portfolio of Visa solutions, will define account strategies and align the necessary resources to deliver your account plans, while building strong client relationships. Qualified candidates will possess a proven track record of building strong internal and external relationships and a relentless drive to excel in sales.

Key Functions

  • Oversee and execute account strategy, annual plans, manage client relationships, and coordinate sales and post-sale resources like Specialist Sellers and Client Success Managers.
  • Orchestrate key sales motions across different sales and support functions (Specialist Sellers, Sales Engineers, Client Success Managers, etc.)
  • Oversee client revenue, driving upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts identifying compelling value propositions that address customer needs
  • Manage new business development and expansion of existing accounts by identifying client pain points
  • Oversee pipeline management, new sales opportunities, negotiations, and deal closing
  • Oversee client incentive and business renewals.
  • Manage and execute territory plans to increase sales and market share within existing accounts.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the payments landscape and technology solutions to lead creative strategies to grow Visa’s business.
  • Foster productive relationships at all levels with clients and the Visa organization.
  • Lead sales meetings and training activities.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date account information by maintaining rigorous CRM data hygiene and adherence to data management best practices.
  • Provide operational or technical leadership within the sales team.
  • Ensure the implementation and achievement of annual goals and plans.
  • Influence the client’s vision for the future of electronic payments by understanding the current landscape, as well as their goals and challenges, in alignment with Visa’s strategies.
  • Safeguard data integrity and compliance with Visa Policies.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Qualifications
    • 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • 15-18 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or
    • 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)
    • MBA preferred
    • Deep expertise in electronic payments and emerging payment trends
    • Proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction.
    • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing complex sales efforts
    • Courage to communicate quickly key challenges and shifts required to ensure goals are met
    • Proven ability to negotiate agreements and contracts effectively, ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes.
    • In-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations specific to the industry, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making.
    • Ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions
    • Ability to look at opportunities from the client’s perspective and consider implications for implementation that are broader than Visa
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive management
    • Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills, and a proven track record of creating solutions that increase revenue
    • Proven project management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage and grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships
