Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience with a Master’s or Advanced Degree in a Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent with analytics expertise in applying statistical solutions to business problems.
Technical expertise in leading business intelligence and data visualization projects.
Working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and associated technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, MLlib, GraphX, iPython, scikit‑learn, Pandas).
Hands‑on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), embedding models, vector databases, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
Business Skills And General Qualities
Good business acumen to orient data analysis to business needs of clients.
Ability to translate data and technical concepts into requirements documents, business cases and user stories.
Ability to translate business problems into GenAI system designs, including prompt strategies, agent roles, and data retrieval patterns.
Good understanding of agile working practices and related program management skills.
Using project management software (e.g., Jira, MS Project), spreadsheets, and data entry systems.
Managing Jira Board, monitoring, tracking and reporting on projects and initiatives.
Good communication and presentation skills with ability to interact with different cross-functional team members at varying levels.
Ability to learn new tools and paradigms as data engineering continues to evolve at Visa and elsewhere.

Technical Skills
Strong experience in creating large scale data engineering pipelines, data-based decision-making and quantitative analysis.
Strong experience with Visualization Tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3 and exposure to code version control systems (git).
Advanced experience in writing and optimizing efficient SQL queries with Python, Hive, Scala handling large datasets in Big‑Data environments.
Experience with complex, high volume, multi-dimensional data, as well as machine learning models based on unstructured, structured, and streaming datasets.
Experience with SQL for extracting, aggregating and processing big data pipelines using Hadoop, EMR & NoSQL databases.
Experience creating/supporting production software/systems and a proven track record of identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks for production systems.
Experience with Unix/Shell or Python scripting and exposure to scheduling tools like Oozie and Airflow.
Exposure to stream‑processing systems like Apache Storm, Spark‑Streaming.
Exposure to working on managing large scale data pipelines on the cloud.
Experience with LLMOps, including model orchestration, vector DBs, prompt lifecycle management, observability, evaluation frameworks, and cost/token optimization.
Experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines combining structured data, unstructured documents, and enterprise metadata.
Experience with agentic workflows, tool‑calling, multi‑step reasoning pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
Strong experience working on building and maintaining data pipelines using GenAI tools.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Exposure working with Global teams & Fortune 500 companies and possess strong experience working directly in client facing roles.
- Execute and manage large scale ETL processes to support development and publishing of reports, Datamarts and predictive models.
- Strong Data Analytical and Visualization skills along with experience in self-service reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI with KPIs and facilitate Visa Consulting engagements including data exchange.
- Build ETL pipelines in Spark, Python, HIVE or SAS that process transaction and account level data and standardize data fields across various data sources.
- Deliver small to medium complexity dashboard projects either individually or as part of a project team.
- Use design prototyping rigor and consultative best practices with our stakeholders.
- Apply prompt design, context engineering, and structured output techniques to ensure reliable, explainable, and business‑aligned GenAI solutions.
- Develop solutions leveraging agile principles.
- Provide operational production support for the dashboards on Tableau Server.
- Provide production support for GenAI services, including LLM endpoints, RAG pipelines, embedding refresh jobs, and vector database health monitoring.
- Should have strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible solutions and effectively communicate strategy and risk mitigation approaches to leadership.
- Build and maintain high performing ETL processes, including data quality and testing aligned across technology, internal reporting and other functional teams.
- Create data dictionaries, setup/monitor data validation alerts and execute periodic jobs like performance dashboards, predictive models scoring for client’s deliverables.
- Define and build technical/data documentation and experience with code version control systems (e.g. git). Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency.
- Document GenAI architectures, prompt patterns, RAG strategies, evaluation metrics, and agent workflows for long‑term maintainability.
- Find opportunities to create, automate and scale repeatable financial and statistical analysis for Visa Consulting and Analytics.
- Identify opportunities to automate analytical workflows using GenAI agents, including data preparation, insight generation, anomaly detection, and narrative reporting.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams in North America and other Global regions to production and maintenance of key data assets.
- Collaborate with platform, security, and data teams to integrate GenAI solutions with enterprise data platforms while ensuring governance and compliance.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate technical insights and recommendations with business customers and leadership team.
- Effectively communicate GenAI capabilities, limitations, and value propositions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
