Job Summary
This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about solving challenging business problems and building applications that provide an excellent user experience. The Chief Software Engineer will be an integral part of the nextgen Core Banking & Payments Pismo platform, focusing on the development of software solutions that leverage data to address business challenges. The role involves hands-on activities including proof of concepts, development, and testing, with adaptability to change tasks according to team requirements.
All roles require hands-on development, digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging Generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, OpenAI etc) to support everyday work.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 9 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
Experience in developing and testing automation frameworks.
Experience in delivering products and features from concept to deployment.
Experience in agile software development environments.
Experience in scoping, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
Experience in Continuous Integration activities.
Experience in data governance and system infrastructure tasks.
Experience in hands-on proof of concepts, development, and testing using modern technologies such as Golang, Java, IaC technologies Terraform, AWS, ArgoCD and many more
Experience In Adapting To Changing Team Requirements.
Experience in supporting post-deployment activities.
Experience in communicating technical status and risks to stakeholders.

The estimated salary range for this position is $195,800.00 to $ 313,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

- Design & Deliver high-quality products and features, overseeing the process from initial idea to final delivery, including development, testing, release deployments, and post-deployment support.
- Develop and test automation frameworks and contribute to core product code.
- Work closely with SRE, Cyber Security, Client Success teams to move Pismo/Visa's charter.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned modules within an agile team setting.
- Accurately scope efforts, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs with team members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and participate in Continuous Integration activities.
- Communicate status updates, issues, and potential risks promptly.
- Perform tasks related to data governance and system infrastructure as required.
