The Data Monetization Sales Lead is a new role within Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) in Milan, responsible for developing, scaling, and managing Visa’s data monetization business across the Southern Europe region. The candidate will own the full commercial strategy, annual revenue delivery, and cross-functional execution for Visa’s data products and analytics-based solutions.
This role includes designing the go‑to‑market strategy, expanding Visa’s data solutions portfolio, and driving sustained revenue growth. The candidate will collaborate extensively with Consulting, Data Team, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Acceptance Development teams to ensure high-quality delivery and create long-term client value.

Essential Functions
Lead and Deliver Annual Revenue Targets
- Own the annual data monetization sales target for Southern Europe region.
- Oversee the sales pipeline across markets, ensuring disciplined forecasting and prioritization.
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to secure annual revenue success.
- Be responsible for generating and qualifying leads.
- Set performance expectations, monitor delivery.
- Build a high-performance sales culture and ensure skill advancement in solution selling and data analytics.
- Develop a comprehensive GTM strategy for data monetization products and services.
- Define target verticals, segmentation, value propositions, and commercial focus areas
- Ensure the focus on high-impact opportunities.
- Manage communication and visibility activities, including social media presence, participation in industry events, and delivery of Visa‑hosted events.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Comms teams on messaging and lead-generation initiatives.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with C‑suite and senior stakeholders across key merchant and partner accounts
- Identify opportunities to create tailored data solutions aligned with client needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor in the areas of data, analytics, and payments innovation.
- Oversee pricing, contractual terms, and complex negotiations to ensure profitable and compliant agreements.
- Ensure alignment with Visa’s commercial policies and data governance standards.
- Stay informed of market trends, competitor activity, and evolving data monetization models.
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations and support long-term product development plans.
- Drive alignment across internal teams including Product, Risk, Marketing, Legal, and Consulting.
- Ensure cohesive, client-centric delivery across the organization.
Qualifications
What we'd like from you -
- Proven experience in B2B sales, commercial leadership, consulting or related roles.
- Proven experience in data products, analytics, or digital solution environments.
- Proven track record delivering annual revenue targets.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and close complex competitive sales cycles.
- Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, payments, and multi-vertical merchant ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data assets, analytics platforms, visualization tools, and data governance.
- High degree of autonomy and comfort operating in an international, matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to execute active customer acquisition strategies.
- Excellent communication skills – Fluent in Italian and English
