Job Description

The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting daily activities within the purchasing process, ensuring procurement of supplies, equipment, and services for business partners in accordance with Global Sourcing and Procurement policies and procedures. This role partners with category leads to facilitate various sourcing activities, guides internal business partners through the procurement process, and ensures adherence to compliance regulations. The Sourcing Analyst interacts directly with suppliers and vendors to obtain materials, products, and services, participates in supplier selection and contract negotiations, and works with internal customer groups to establish specifications and validate pricing and terms for focused categories.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with sourcing analysts and category managers to assist in sourcing initiatives.
  • Verify purchase requests for accuracy, completion, required approvals, and compliance with contract.
  • Interact with vendors and internal customers to resolve transactional issues on a daily basis.
  • Draft and execute low to moderately complex contracts and orders.
  • Address inquiries on order status of products and services.
  • Collaborate with business units and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies related to procurement issues.
  • Perform administrative duties including drafting of Work Statements, metrics reporting, and data entry into procurement systems.
  • Maintain continuously updated spend dashboard information using output from procurement tools.
  • Provide project management and oversight of team tasks and deliver support to internal customers over the phone and via email in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Document problems and provide appropriate follow-up to meet internal customer service levels.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in sourcing and/or procurement operations, preferably with a major financial institution or payment card company.
  • Experience in procurement transaction processing in shared services or centralized procurement operations center.
  • Experience in contract administration, records maintenance, or procurement operation using industry-standard contract management tools (e.g. Ariba, DocuSign, Oracle).
  • Experience in drafting and executing contracts and orders.
  • Experience in managing internal customers and users who interact with the Buying Center.
  • Experience in process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in administrative duties such as metrics reporting and data entry into procurement systems.
  • Experience in resolving discrepancies related to procurement issues.
  • Experience in collaborating with business units and stakeholders to resolve procurement issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
  • Knowledgeable about contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience in supplier selection and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in maintaining spend dashboard information using procurement tools.
  • Professional accreditation in sourcing or procurement is a plus.
  • Experience in project management and oversight of team tasks.
