Job Description
The Visa Consulting Director will be a senior, client-facing leader dedicated to clients and a key member of the VCA organization in the GCC. This role is accountable for driving revenue growth, deepening executive relationships, and leading end‑to‑end consulting and implementation engagements for the client. The Director will focus on sales and business development, program delivery excellence, and senior stakeholder engagement, working closely with Visa account teams and client leadership to shape strategy, execute complex transformation programs, and deliver measurable business impact across portfolio, digital, and risk domains. The role requires a strong on-site presence at the client location (minimum 3-4 days per week) to ensure tight governance, rapid decision-making, and trusted-partner engagement.

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area
Sales & Business Development
- Own and grow the consulting revenue pipeline for CLIENT, including origination, solutioning, pricing, and VNL signatures
- Partner with Visa Account Executives and CLIENT stakeholders to identify new opportunities across portfolio growth, digital transformation, risk optimization, and advanced analytics
- Develop compelling client pitches and proposals, positioning VCA as a long-term strategic and implementation partner
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client's leadership, including C‑suite and executive committee members
- Act as the primary consulting interface for clients ensuring strong executive presence, influence, and credibility
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments with strong relationship management and conflict‑resolution skills
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of consulting and implementation programs—from diagnostic and strategy through execution and value realization
- Establish and run program management and governance structures, including steering committees, executive reporting, risk management, and dependency tracking
- Ensure delivery excellence across scope, timelines, budget, and outcomes, while maintaining high client satisfaction
- Lead multi‑disciplinary Visa and partner teams across Consulting, Products, Business Development, Risk, Marketing, Digital Solutions and VAS
- Coach and mentor consulting team members on client delivery, commercial acumen, and executive engagement
- Contribute to the development and commercialization of VCA practice offerings relevant to Islamic banking and the GCC market
- Strong sales orientation with demonstrated ability to originate, sell, and expand consulting engagements
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management, particularly with senior and executive‑level clients
- Proven program and project management capabilities across large, complex initiatives
- Ability to operate effectively in an on‑site, high‑engagement client model
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution mindset
- Excellent communication, influencing, and executive‑presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in banking and/or top‑tier management consulting, with strong exposure to payments or financial services
- Demonstrated experience engaging with senior leadership and C‑suite stakeholders
- Strong background in sales, business development, and consulting delivery
- Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end projects and large‑scale programs, including governance and executive reporting
- Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills.
- Superior project management skills and fluent communicator
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
